"Whatever.." You know the attitude. That's exactly how I felt this barely average restaurant chain representative performed.
A Thursday at 7PM on a sunny evening with no crowd. Our party of 5 was seated at a roomy table just inside of the raised garage doors. The host seated all of us with only 2 menus. After about 4mins a server cruised into our space to say he would be right with us. One of our party went to get menus. Another 4mins later a different server showed up to introduce, and take a drink order. Upon asking if she would now be our server, she walked away to have a personal conversation with the host and other server about "Doing your job!". When that breaks up, the first server finishes up something and starts waiting on us. No mention of name until asked. No menu, specials or drink suggestions. Just "You guys ready to order?" I asked about happy hour since we were seated before 7 and it was now 10 after. "Happy hour is until 6" said with no affect. I personally asked 2 twice for a drink refill. When questioned about the menu items, the answers were followed up with a shrug.
Check backs after food was delivered, consisted of calling out to him as he walked nearby our vicinity.
I first sent my rice and beans side back for not being hot. It returned with the same fork impression in it. It had obviously been microwaved. I then sent my fish taco's back because they were over-cooked and dry. I tried to compensate with adding fresh squeezed lime juice. It did not help. I had lost faith in this kitchen and the front of the house service. I asked for a club sandwich. It was average except for the heated turkey. Come to think of it, I dont recall ham on the club.
A manager never stopped by to apologize. Come to think of it, no one said sorry.
Somebody needs to wake up and remember that this is Easton. There is another food choice every 30 steps. I know I'm going to get my steps in as I walk...
Read moreWe were going to eat here after my nephew's hockey game. My sister-in-law and I entered the entry. The host picked up 4 menus and asked how many. My sister-in-law said "nine" the host laid the menus down and said " I am sorry we don't have any thing available. It will be 20 to 30 minutes." The restaurant was half empty.... To which she my sister-in-law responded "we can take any of those tables beside each other. We don't have to sit with each other. The kids can sit at a table by their selves." He (host) said " I'm sorry it will be a 30 to 40 minute wait we don't have anything available." My sister-in-law said" you just said "20 to 30 minutes. He said "No, I didn't say that.. the hostess then said we don't have anything available we will let you know when something is available. I then said " they obviously don't want to serve us. I am not spending my money here. The other lady with us said she got the same vibes! As we were talking another couple walked up. The hostess pick up 2 menus closely watching me and I said" see... They said nothing was available but, they are seating them! I am not eating here. Let's do. So, we left and went to Flip Side which had amazing food and service. I put this on your Facebook page and someone asked my to put it on you email so someone could contact me . I have not heard so much as an apology from the manager of the the Rusty Bucket. We were all dressed very nicely and the kids were well behaved! There was no reason for them not to seat us... It was appalling! The kids didn't understand what happened! If I had chilly I would no go to this restaurant. No one has contacted me to try to make this right!! I just can't believe they run their business this way! Every one should go to Flip Side! It...
Read moreMy wife and I were doing some last minute Christmas shopping at Easton and of all the choices of places to eat we chose to stop by the Rusty Bucket (which we later regretted). Now we eat at the Rusty Bucket all the time -I’ve been to the Polaris location, New Albany location, and even the one in Bexley, and I have never had any issues until Easton (this was our first time there and we will not return). My wife always orders the blackened salmon salad and it is always good. She emphasized to our waitress that she wanted the salmon well done, which again, she usually never has any issues with. But when our food arrived, the salmon was pink, mushy, and rare. She showed it to our waitress when she checked on us, and she said ‘you’re absolutely right’ and took it away. Then the manager comes by and says she’s sorry and that absolutely was not well done and did she want them to make her a fresh one, or just stick hers back in the oven for the sake of time. Since I was already eating and we had more shopping to do, she settled for fish & chips because the manager said that would be quick. Unfortunately it was neither quick nor good, BUT with all the trouble that was due to their error the manager never offered any type of compensation or anything to make up for the mistake or make the experience better. (The waitress later told us that there were multiple orders of that dish, and someone must have grabbed my wife's well done dish and left the wrong one, as it they have no system of how to distinguish whose order is whose.) I knew my wife was upset and so I finally asked if they were going to offer us a free dessert or anything, and she said ‘she could do that’ but only after I asked, which was ridiculous and why we won’t...
