Jam Box Fitness Lounge — Local services in Dallas

I hosted a surprise 45th birthday party for my husband and my husbands best friend at Jambox Fitness Lounge -Dallas. From the beginning, the presentation upon viewing the location was awesome. Dominique did a great job presenting all the information. I love the discount if booked within 72 hours. That gives you time to ponder and make sure the spot is perfect for your needs as well as view other venues. Although we viewed a few other spots, we went with this Jambox location because the presentation was right, it was the perfect size, and it was already decorated in our colors (Harlem Nights theme). The location was opened on time and any questions I had was immediately answered. COMMUNICATION: communication with Dominique was great. Once I was turned over to Madison to deal with payment and contract - the communication was horrible. HOWEVER, Madison is NO LONGER employed there. Immediately Dominique connected me with her event manager and things could not have gone better. Shuanna is AMAZING!!!! Dominique needs to keep her around. She is prompt in responding and provides accurate information. She checks in and even sends a reminder list of things that were discussed at your original booking such as breaking down the room after the event was over. They are very easy going on decor and hanging things. The tables were set up and ready for my event. I did move the tables around to make a larger dance floor and we put the cake on the stage. If there were any cons I would say I did tell Shuanna I would recommend putting the bartender in contact with the host before the event to discuss drinks and expectations. Our bartender, Alexis was great but we had to keep explaining that one of the signature drinks are already mixed with alcohol. This was no fault of hers. The music was playing, there was a long line, and there was time to review things. I have suggested that the bartender either contacts the host ahead of the event or arrive maybe 20 mins early to discuss the expectations, location of things, etc. with the host. Anyhow, I can't speak enough of how lovely things were. The husbands were surprised and had a great time. We had a 360 photo booth (Kj 360 Photo Booth) which fits perfectly as well. The food was catered by (Grapevine Got Soul) We also had a second line band (Unfaded Brass Band) and they were great. The space was definitely big enough to have a band and enjoy second lining. We had about 90 people in there with all 13 tables set and we were all comfortable. The DJ (Big Daddy Kevin) had his spot and was great. Security is required if you will have over 75 guest. The ease of adding that and a bartender was super easy. The security was AWESOME as well. It was comforting knowing the ladies left to clean had someone making sure they were getting in their vehicles safely since the party ended at midnight and they had to be out by 1am. He even helped the ladies load things in the car. I am a perfectionist so I do feel they could make the space perfect by offering an extra table for a cake table and maybe one more rectangle one as an option for food. They do have two but I could've used either a square one or one more rectangle one would have been perfect. I did bring a square one from home and placed the table with the cakes on the stage and it looked beautiful! I can't say enough how happy I was with Jambox and my event. I will definitely use this...

We don’t work out…we JAM OUT!

I loooove Jam Box fitness! The classes, the instructors, the ladies that sweat and jam out next to me every day too. I’ve been coming to Jam Box since February 2017 and I’m so happy I decided to try them out because I’m HOOKED…here’s a little bit of why:

Funk the Fit – signature class taught by the owner, Dominique. High intensity cardio set to the backdrop of your favorite hip hop and R&B music. Dominque’s personality and energy is a hit! It was her class that got me hooked on Jam Box and the reason why I came back and started adding other classes to my workouts. One of my favorite classes.

Pound – ever had a bad day and just wanted to smash some stuff? Yes? Then Pound is the class for you. This class is leg day x2. We use rip sticks to pound it out but it’s a lot of squats and lunges. When I first saw this class I didn’t like it because it was loud….until I was on the other end of the sticks and was able to pound away all of my stress. One of my favorite classes, taught by Megan and Cathy.

Booty Barre – Cassie is the Booty Ambassador and she is here to get your booty looking RIGHT. Booty barre is just what it sounds like, barre for your booty. Focus is on form, flexibility and of course BOOTY. Mixing a little Pilates, yoga and ballet. The class actually focuses on the whole body, not just the booty, so it’s an overall great class. One of my favorite classes.

Bass Camp – Oh mah gawd. Zac shows no mercy. Not for the faint of heart. This is boot camp, you’ve been warned. Warm up is a mile run and then the rest of the time is pure torture. Not really, but you get the point. Strength training, resistance training, cardio training….all mixed up with a little bit of bass. One of my favorite classes.

Hip Hop Step – If you like step aerobics, this is the class for YOU. There’s Elena and Terrence that teach this class and although they have different teaching styles and workouts, they’re both equally hard WORK. I love them both. One of my favorite classes.

Booty Fit – Cassie is back at it with the booty. Booty fit is a mix between Funk the Fit and Booty Barre in that it’s a high intensity cardio dance class but it focuses on the lower body – a lot of squats, lunges, twerking and WORK to get that BOOTY fit. One of my favorite classes.

Boss Chick Dance – Last but not least is Boss Chick, taught by Kimistry. This class is like a mix between Funk the Fit and Booty Fit in that it is a dance class with a lot of twerking but the music varies from reggaeton to hip hop to dance hall. One of my favorite classes.

All in all, I can’t say enough about Jam Box, my experience working out here has been amazing and I love that I have this workout community of wonderful women that sweat and jam out next to me. They hold me accountable and keep me motivated to come! You can catch me at Jam Box whenever the doors...

I normally don't write reviews, but I want everyone to be aware of this experience we've had with Jam Box Addison location. We initially came in around July 2018 to view the venue for a reception. WE were happy with the venue and immediately scheduled our date for March 2019. Well we made all of our payments to pay off the venue per the contract. Shortly after we decided that we wanted to do a destination wedding, so we read our contract which states early termination we would lose $150 of our money that we've already paid. No problem we understand, we contacted the venue to advise of our cancellation in October 2018. They said no problem we will process refunds via the same methods we paid. After several weeks, we received no refund, we made numerous contacts to them with no response. They finally refunded one installment payment. We asked when we would see the rest, no contact for about 2 weeks. So I decided to dispute the transactions through my bank. My bank successfully refunded me the part of the money that I paid. However, my fiance' who has the same bank as me was denied the refund stating that it was a valid purchase. The venue then contacted us to let us know they received the dispute, so they weren't able to do anything at the moment. The last installment was for $250, which we understand they would take $150 from the amount for the cancellation. We reached out to ask when we would receive the remaining $100 it's been a month and we've heard nothing from Jam Box Addison. So now we plan to go through the bank again to claim our money. The staff at Jam Box seemed nice and professional and even though we canceled the event we planned on using them in the future but after this hassle we're experiencing we will NEVER CONSIDER or RECOMMEND this place to anyone! Stick to your contract, we gave plenty of notice for cancellation we should not have to jump through hoops to get our money back or go weeks, months without receiving a response until we take matters into our own hands. It's UNPROFESSIONAL and is not a good look. SO Just BE CAREFUL when doing business with this company as they do not follow through with their contracts and their...
