We arrived promptly with a party of seven for our 9:30 pm. reservation. Just minutes later, a group of white guests arrived and were seated immediately, while we were left standing at the entrance with no updates or communication from the staff. The lack of organization was evident when a second hostess approached us, asking if we had been helped. We told her we weren't sure what was happening because no one had clearly communicated anything to us.
Despite our reservation being at 9:30 pm., we didn’t even get to order drinks until 9:53 pm. To make matters worse, I had to share drinks with my friend because our server never came back to offer refills. The service was extremely slow, and it wasn’t until much later that I found a hard stem in my food, which the manager later identified as a “piece of oregano” stem.
Our experience continued to fall short—our server brought us to-go boxes before even asking if we wanted dessert. By the time our food finally arrived, some members of our party were no longer hungry, so we ended up packing everything to take home.
I only tipped our server because I felt bad for him. Unfortunately, the entire experience felt like something I would expect at Olive Garden, not a premium restaurant. The inconsistency between this location and your Austin restaurant is shocking; it feels like dining at two entirely different chains.
It’s disappointing to see a response that implies customers are responsible for quality control. Saying, "please let our managers know so we can make it right while you are dining with us" is not an acceptable reply to feedback. It places the burden on the guest to ensure basic standards are met during their visit. As a paying customer, I expect the restaurant to take full accountability for providing a positive dining experience from start to finish, without needing to intervene.
Upon further inspection, it turns out the hard, unchewable piece I found in my food was actually a piece of uncooked pasta, not oregano as the manager initially claimed. I’ve never seen an oregano stem that resembles what I received in my dish.
Additionally, I noticed a serious hygiene issue—when the hostess took the piece of pasta from me with her bare hands, I didn’t see her wash her hands before returning to the kitchen, where food was being prepared. This piece had been taken directly from my mouth, making the lack of proper sanitation even...
Read moreCame in for a nice lunch with my boyfriend, it was not that busy for a Sunday afternoon, so we figured we could be finished and go about our day before 3, it was 1:30, got seated and our waiter came shortly after took our drinks and ordered a appetizer, drinks came at at 1:45 and our app came a few minutes after, both were great, waited a little bit longer and people were getting seated around us, waiter came back asked if we were wanting to order anything else, we both ordered, I ordered the chicken parmesan and my boyfriend order the Squid Ink Tonnarelli, it was closer to 2 when we ordered, 2:40 come and still no food, haven't seen our waiter, a manager who was bringing food for another table that came in after us, walked by and asked if we needed anything, I said our food that we ordered a while ago, she let us know that she'll check on it and get back to us, she never came back, saw her and our waiter for another 10 minutes walk all over the restaurant and ignored us, finally at 2:50 my food comes out, when I ask the person who brought my food if she knows where my boyfriend food is and for two boxes because we need to leave, she doesn't know and will check and brought us boxes,we never see her again either, finally at 3 our waiter comes to us and ask if everything is okay, I say "no, we have my food and have been waiting for the other meal". He walks away and finally comes out with my boyfriends lunch already packed up. No apologies, not a word said about the wait or the fact all the tables that sat almost 30 to 40 minutes after us were already done with their meals and leaving. We got our check $90, my pink pony spirtz, an app, and two meals. My boyfriend was very upset and I was too, had a day finally to do something fun while in the Dallas area and our time was cut short because of the staff and poor service. Couldn't even enjoy our meal. Not worth the $10 tip we left, my boyfriend did not want to leave one but I said we should since waiters depends on them and that's the only amount we could even come close to agreeing on. Will not be back, the North Italia in Legacy West is much busier and never had bad...
Read moreFor my happy hour group this was a huge disappointment. This review is from August so the staff and management could have gotten better. I also want to say I love this restaurant and I usually have a great experience. This was my first time at this location.
We arrived for happy hour and placed a drink order and ordered off the limited happy hour menu. It took a while for the staff to figure out who was going to serve the high top, one bar tender was leaving and the other that was arriving was prepping the station. As the bartender was walking past with her back pack she realized we hadn’t been served, this was about 20 minutes of sitting in the empty restaurant. She told the other guy to serve us and he came and took our order. (Mind you nobody came to take an order in this time frame, pour water nothing. We were talking so it was fine, we could tell a shift change was happening, we could also tell that the other servers were not helping tables that weren’t in their section.) gel brought us our drinks and took our order he never returned! Y’all we didn’t ever get the order after an hour. We didn’t want it at that point. It became a game to see if it would ever come out. A friend of the bartender came in and was served a drink and food within minutes. At that point we went to the host and told her we needed to get the check. We didn’t drink our drinks because we weren’t going to spend a dime. They brought the food out and we stated we didn’t want it, they offered to comp it and still let us have it, they also comped the drinks. I will not be back to this location, they expect the tips but lack in service.
It’s a new build and very nice, but complete waste of money if you’re looking for customer service. Heck any service.
Photos show how busy it was, and all we received...
