Shanda Martin - State Farm Insurance Agent — Local services in Dallas

I’ve been with Shanda Martin’s offices for over a year now and while every one is kind, I will be looking for another provider. It seems that any time I call their offices, no agent is available to take my call. I understand that people are busy and not everything should be dropped to cater to my needs, however, when I do get someone on the phone, my problem is never solved. For over six months I was given incorrect insurance information and dealt had an issue that could only be ‘fixed by corporate’. Once again understandable, however that issue was simply switching to a multi house hold driver account and I wasn’t informed it was a corporate issue until month three of bi weekly calling and emailing with the insistence it would be handled by the “end of the week”. When the person I was working with was let go, I had to be the one to call and bring the issue (I’d been working on for months!) to their attention to have my matter handled by a new agent. Recently, I was in a fender bender and the other drivers insurance company contacted me. I call Shanda’s offices to understand the best course of action. Once again, I was told no one was available and an agent would give me a call back. God forbid I miss the call, getting a hold of someone is like playing phone tag. I’m really disappointed because of these great reviews, and my experience might just be luck of the draw. Omar was beyond helpful! When I think of what exceptional customer service should be like, Omar fits the bill. He was super friendly, patient, personable and truly made me feel valued. Before speaking with Omar, I was in communication with a different agent from another branch who made me feel the complete opposite and I almost walked away from State Farm. However, Shanda Martin’s branch, specifically Omar, never once made me feel like “another sale,” he took his time to make sure I was comfortable with the different options he presented and that it worked well for me. If I have ever said or believed in something it’s insurance both rental home owners and auto. Shanda goes more than above and beyond! I can not ever say enough about this woman’s dedication to her job and there mission. During my claim she was available at all times. One time she was sick with walking pneumonia didn’t stop her still taking calls and handling claims . She is the best deserves it to be sang from the Mountain Tops !!
