We had our wedding here. Venue is beautiful, we did have to move it inside from the rooftop to the courtroom since it rained. It was still perfect because of our own day of coordinator and family helping prep and set up. Pictures came out beautifully if Art Deco/Great Gatsby is the vibe you like. Communication is like pulling teeth for answers and responses from Edith. When trying to figure out the specifics to the second location the week of the wedding since we saw rain on the radar, it took a lot of unnecessary follow up email and texts to get answers. The week of my wedding. Which of course caused extra stress when it was but something that shouldn’t be worried about, if the coordinator is going to respond or not. When the day came the furniture in the courtroom was supposed to be removed by a certain time so set up could begin. Almost an hour later the people show up to remove furniture. Edith was no where to be found most of the evening when vendors had questions and needed direction. If it weren’t for my own people and family, this wedding would have been a disaster. We come from a very business family full of professionals and no one could believe how nonchalant and unprofessional things were handled. The venue is gorgeous, it would be an added bonus is they have a bridal and groom get ready suite. Nonetheless, if you have extreme patience and no hard deadlines, this venue is great. There is a lot of potential for this venue but unfortunately until they adjust their staff and how things are handled, I would be weary and want to know this all upfront myself if you’re thinking about having something as important as your...
Read moreI totally agree with the comment below. Their rooftop space is amazing but the lack of communication is horrible (HUGE RED FLAG!) I scheduled to tour the venue last month but their head (and the only) coordinator never showed up. Not even one email to let me know she is not able to come. Two days later (after leaving her several messages and email), she responded back stating that she couldn't make it due to an ear infection. We're in the middle of a pandemic and I'm not going to fault her for not showing up because of an illness. So I tried to be understanding and rescheduled for my tour the following week. This time, again, without any notification, she sends a guy over to let me upstairs. I had a few questions about the venue but he couldn't answered them and told me Edith was going to be reaching out to me. Until this day (a month later) I have not received an email from Edith. Few days after the tour I had sent her an email with a few questions I had regarding valet and such but till this day she has not responded. SO INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL. If I were you, I WILL NOT let them handle my once in a lifetime...
Read moreMy husband and I had the opportunity to be married at The Venue at 400 N Ervay this past Oct. and we couldn’t be happier. The space itself was magical being able to have a rooftop ceremony, inside the vintage courtroom for dinner and then rooftop dance party to close out the evening. We had extraordinary photos on the rooftop and the food was raved about by our guests (which rarely happens). The space being managed by Boxwood Hospitality made the whole process of wedding planning so easy and the day of the most extraordinary experience. We got lucky that the weather was incredible so we could have the event outside but even if the weather hadn’t been nice, having the back up of the inside space alleviated any worries we would have had. Would highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a wedding space in downtown Dallas that has a unique vintage twist with elegance and a touch of...
