Since the festival flea market closedI've been looking for a local jeweler for watch battery installations. Jeweler was close by and had many favorable reviews I thought it would be a good option. I own allot of watchs and have the need to replace allot of batteries The owner told me the cost to install a new battery was between 10 and 15 dollars which I agreed. She opened the watch and said it was a $12 battery. Great go ahead and replace it. She' installed the new battery and as she handed it to me she said your watch back says that it is water resist but it can't be counted on since it has been opened. She said the only way that a watch could be warranted to be waterproof after opening is if the factory does a replacement.I asked her why she did not inform me prior I to installing as I would not have gone forward with her.
