Bonbonbon Chocolate is a charming little shop that instantly draws you in with its cute, modern aesthetic and warm atmosphere. What makes it stand out is its wide selection of handcrafted chocolates, each offering a unique blend of flavors and textures that feel both experimental and refined. The shop features an impressive variety of chocolates, with flavor combinations ranging from classic to adventurous. We sampled around 7 to 8 different pieces during our visit. Some flavors truly stood out — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — while others were just okay, a bit more experimental and less to our personal taste. That said, the creativity behind each piece was clear and made the tasting experience fun and memorable. One thoughtful detail we appreciated was the individual packaging of each chocolate in its own tiny box. This not only preserved freshness but also elevated the presentation, making these chocolates an excellent gift option. The attention to detail in the packaging reflects the brand’s dedication to quality and design. Price-wise, each piece costs $3.50, which is on the higher side for individual chocolates. While we understand that these are artisan, small-batch creations — and certainly a premium experience — it may not be something to indulge in regularly. For some, the price may feel slightly steep given that not every flavor hit the mark. Overall, Bonbonbon Chocolate is a delightful stop for chocolate lovers or anyone seeking a unique treat in Detroit. It’s worth visiting at least once for the experience and to support a local business that’s clearly putting a lot of heart into its craft. Whether you’re buying a gift or treating yourself, this spot adds a bit of sweet luxury to your day.

Just happened to walk upon this place, what a joy to come in here and meet Jackson. He is an incredibly nice and enjoyable human to talk to! He shared with us the story of the brand, the product and info! Helped talk us through the flavors of everything and even gave my girlfriend a cake bon for her birthday! We bought the Detroit pack to try some local heritage and also many more to try!!! We are excited to try it and the store is super neat inside! MUST COME!

I had never been and finally was able to go. I came in and the woman working gave off a unpleasant vibe right away…(it must be very hard working at a candy shop)…I felt like I had to be overly polite to compensate…I asked what the best way to let her know which I may have wanted or what the process may be and again more offstandish replies…I told her by number what I wanted…even though it didn’t feel good… and then checked out. I basically paid $40 to feel like a terrible customer to pick up overly sweet and pure sugar squares with overabundant and over packaged chocolate!! I do...

I really enjoy this store and don't stop by nearly as much as I want to. For a smaller shop, the decor is amazingly impactful and fun. In the handful of times I have stopped in, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. And the bons are just the best, as I have been coming back again and again to different locations for several years. The team has helped me with in-person and shipping orders and people have always been delighted with these as a gift. Overall, between the product and service, I really appreciate this place as one of my go-tos for quality and tasty...
