BUYER BEWARE!! My story. I went to Bob's Discount Furniture in Fresno during Memorial Day weekend. I was shopping for a T.V. cabinet/dresser and accent chair. I found the dresser, but the chair I purchased was my 3rd choice because my 1st & 2nd choices wouldn't be available until NOVEMBER 2021. I was told many store items wouldn't be available until November because Bob's Discount Furniture is a huge discount furniture store with stores across the U.S. Delivery: the white dresser was delivered intact but had black smudge fingerprints on it (so much for white glove delivery promises). The chair, however, was MISSING LEGS. A few days later the replacement chair arrived with legs, but it looked darker and dingy, like I owned it for a couple of years. I said exactly that to the delivery person and he commented "oh, it looks brighter outside". This kept bugging me, then I remembered I had taken a picture of the chair while in the store. When I compared them, I was right. I had received a dingy looking version of the chair I had purchased. Now let me backtrack a little here. I had spoken to their customer care (located in Canada they told me) and I'd spoken to the store manager in person who promised my chair would be delivered correctly and he'd instruct the delivery people to wipe away the black smudges from the dresser; which they didn't. Once again I called their customer care and was given a 'partial refund' on the purchase price of the chair I now own. Hallelujah!! NORMALLY THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS, BUT STORE CREDITS INSTEAD is what was told to me. Every time I look at this chair it pisses me off. Two things to consider 1) why buy from a store where stock is limited and wait times are MONTHS long (not weeks) and 2) why are shoppers being told they'll be 'refunded' their money when their policy is to give store credits instead? Read moreMy wife and I were initially impressed by size and cleanliness of store, shortly after that is where issue started. We walked in were temperature scanned and Given hand sanitizer then handed off to a sales person, after looking at 1 or 2 reclining sofas out sales person said he had to go help another customer to then left us there for 20 minutes until I asked manager to reassign new sales person which he did. We agreed on buying sofa and entertainment center which was said to be $799. (Couches were 3,900) sales person comes back and says oh no it was a mistake and it’s $999 at this point I get super frustrated and say if they won’t give advertised price I will leave takes several minutes and sales person comes back Reluctantly gives 200$ off overall price to make competitive then we are told it wouldn’t be able to come until 8/19 20 days after we’ve moved in our new home without any couches or furniture. So we wait until today 8/18 at noon to be told 1/3 of our couch only would be delivered and rest would take more than 30 days more for us to get. Upon trying to ask store for discount was told they could only offer half off of delivery (150). That is a slap in the face on a 4800 order. At that time I requested a complete refund and to cancel the order. We originally paid half in cash and half on debit card. Employees lied and tried to not refund our entire amount mutliple times resulting in us being told the cash we paid would have to be sent back as a corporate check and would take 10-14 days to process. After agreeing only to find out they had once again lied and failed to refund our entire amount and having to go back on the phone at which time was told there will now be 2 separate checks we have to wait to process in the mail. In the mean time my family 2 children and I have to sit on the floor because of the lies and inability to do their jobs at bobs furniture. I will make sure no one I know ever makes mistake of being misled...
Read moreThe absolute worst purchase experience I have ever had in my life. -3/4 of my sectional delivered a month after promised the 4th piece due a month after that -I paid “white glove” delivery and the delivery guys installed the feet wrong and left a stain on the couch, ripped the batting out of the bottom along the edge, and left packing material stapled to the bottom.When I pointed out the stain, the tech sprayed something on it wiped it and left before it dried. Tech didn’t speak English so I couldn’t communicate my concerns. The stain of course was still there when the spray dried. -They took a week to send a guy to fix this, who showed up late for a 2 hour appointment window and couldn’t fix the legs and didn’t have the tool/juice to fix the stain -The follow up appointment, the tech was a no show! The driver got in an accident in the morning but I wasn’t told that no one was coming until AFTER my service window. -third fix-it appointment window was 815-1030 am and is currently showing 130-2pm estimated arrival. Since I stayed home from work for this… again…I thought I’d take the time to write this review.
Customer service is terrible at communicating. Getting someone on the phone is near impossible. The “chat “ feature on their site closes and switches to a new CSR if your screen locks or you need to look at another screen! Spent a fruitless hour of my time doing that last week.
The sofa itself is great so far and the price was good. But it is absolutely not worth the hassle. DO NOT BUY HERE! If you do DO NOT pay for white glove delivery.
