Picture this you are out of town on vacation visiting family for two weeks. You and the girls are having a day out and you stop by the local ULTA store in Morristown, TN. You take your TRULY purchase and pack it in the suitcase then unpack at home until it is needed. Several weeks later you open the package to discover that half of the product in one of the jars is missing and or evaporated yet the tab on the jar is still intact. So we take the product to our local store here in Chambersburg to exchange for a new kit. The sales manager refused to take back the product as we had opened the product and then resealed it. Naturally you want to talk to her boss so she gives you an toll free number to call someone at ULTA. We called the toll free number they asked us to take the phone in the store so they could talk to the sales manager we passed the phone over to the ULTA person we heard them ask her why she would not take the purchase back and then the phone was disconnected. Now all of this is going on in front of other customer's and the sales manager tells another worker that my daughter opened the product and resealed the product thus will not let her exchange it. My daughter wanted the product but not a half empty product. This actually happened in the Chambersburg PA store this past Thursday. ULTA emailed my daughter and requested she call them back and she filed a complaint but nothing has been done. We have been ULTA rewards members for approximately 20 years. Now here is the silver lining, my daughter found TRULY has a website and has placed her first order. Additionally, you can sign up for the subscription plan and get your products cheaper with free shipping. Dermalogica, Paul Mitchell they all have websites with free shipping and reduced prices. After we collect our rewards money , we will no longer be ULTA rewards...
Read moreI went to the Ulta hair salon and got the âgo out blow outâ according to the website it includes: shampoo, condition and hair styling with hot tools (curling iron/flat iron) for $37. I was going to a Halloween party, thought it would be nice to get my hair styled for it. Since it was last minute decision, I didnât go to my trusted hair stylist. I thought that going to Ulta would be easy and convenient & who could really mess up on curls?! I was WRONG....first of all, she asked me what kind of curls that i wanted. Beachy curls or tighter curls? I said a little tighter than beachy. After about an hour and a half she was done with my curls and they were so tight...I was kinda embarrassed to walk around with them since it was still early afternoon 5ish. Anyway...she said that, I shouldnât worry...they were going to look like that so they could hold up until I went to my Halloween party @ 8. I just needed to run my fingers through the curls until I got my desired look. So I was fine with that...figured that it would be worth it. She hands me my receipt...she charges me the $37 plus $20 for using the curling iron for styling. I paid $57 dollars to get my hair shampoo, conditioned, and curled! I was highly upset...if the price is more than what Iâm expecting, then fine....BUT, please tell me before you style it & the website states that the price includes styling with hot tools & I wasnât asking for anything crazy...$57 is close to what I pay for highlights, haircut, shampoo/condition, & style from my normal stylist. So with a $8 tip....I paid $65 for my hair which I wasnât happy with. When it was time to get my costume on for my party...all the curls had fell out...! For no reason...I didnât sleep with them....I got home and watched tv and did my makeup before the party. After all this...I STILL had to redo my curls myself!!!...
Read moreI was in yesterday for the second time ever. I got a gift card for Mother's Day I wanted to use. my first experience was great. I had a very helpful employee (Marima). the second time all the employees were on their cel phones and no one asking if I needed help. when she came after I chased her down she left several times when I wasn't done having her unlock the cabinets to get perfume. I finally decided on 3 of them. the person helping us put them at the register. I approach to pay for them using my gift card first. she said I have to put some numbers in a machine off the card that I couldn't read. I told her 3x I couldn't because i did not have the right glasses. I let her know I didn't get this from the last employee. I had my son put in the numbers and paid for my stuff. He was the only reason i just didnt leave my stuff and walk out. she even asked if I wanted to get a credit card. I told her no I will never be in this store again and will be writing a review. The 3 to 4 stars is for the first employee because she was so good i decided to come back. . the second one is the reason I will get my perfume from...
