This is just the BEST!Β If you want to see lots of turtles up close (like swimming with them 2 feet in front of your face) this is the best place I found.Β It seems like it is a private area but according to Hawaii law all beachfront is accessible to the public.Β Here is the map.Β I would park in the Napili Point Resort Condos parking lot (to the north side of the Cove).Β I would park almost near to the back closest to the ocean. Then go through the condos to your left (there are walkways) which takes you south back toward the Cove.Β There should be a spot that you can walk through the shrubs and down to the cove. Right near past the pool (a rectangular shaped pool...and it is one level above you if I remember right?)...there should be a way to climb down the rocks to the cove.Β There is a sort of tide pool that you can get your gear on and slide down into the water. Then swim out of the tide pool into the cove. It is a little rough getting in because the water comes rushing into the pool, but you will be fine. That said, LEAVE THEM ALONE! It is illegal and unethical to get close to them. If the water visibility is low then tough - LEAVE THEM ALONE.
One reviewer here has posted pictures of himself illegally close to the turtles. Don't be like him.
Do not swim ahead of the turtles, do not circle around them, do not make them feel uncomfortable in general.
Entry into this bay is more difficult than those around it. There is one particular point that has a nice entry, however, you need to go in between the tides.
If you go when the tide is coming in you will likely get smashed...
