Took the wife hat shopping while on our road trip. She had a specific style that she was looking for, so our best option was to go to an actual hat store We went hatwrks In Nashville, had a great experience, found a hat that she actually liked, but that shade of color was slightly off. So she decided to hold off. We called them back the next day and asked if we didn’t find something else would they shipped to us and they said absolutely and at no charge. During the conversation lady called the wife out by name as remembering her frm the day before which was also awesome (very personable) On our stop in Helen, we decided to stop at Helen hat store, shopping experience there was almost as good in the beginning. The lady was very helpful, showed us different things. Although she did linger around a little too much like uncomfortable. (Maybe she thought we were going to steal) But either way, it was still a fairly pleasant shopping experience. The wife found a hat. She liked a little better than Nashville with color and style. But it was a little more costly, not by much.! The wife told me let’s go grab a bite talk about it and more than likely. We will come back and get this one since we’re here. And she did offer a slight discount. As soon as we comment, we’re going to go grab a bite and make a decision (We already were thinking between ourselves and 75% chance coming back if not more.) But as soon as we told her, we weren’t buying right at that moment, her attitude turned sour! There aren’t any more hatch stores in Helen, so you’re telling me you don’t want this hat? We replied, not at this moment we may be back Soon as we walked out of the store, the wife told me she would rather just have them ship us the one from Nashville because of that attitude! So we went trolling finishing our walk. We did stop at a few stores and they had a few hats, but they were cheap looking. Another store had some nice hats, but they were more for men and too costly And we happened into the last store a little more upscale type store They did not have as big of a selection, but the wife did find one that she really liked the color of. It turned out. It was a different style than she originally was looking for. But the experience there was great, the price was actually better by far We ended up purchasing the hat on the spot! Me and the wife, both are in sales our self, and customer experience, and attitude goes a long way. We don’t always get the sale ourselves, but we still show the same respect to the customer. If we don’t get the sale that time we might the next. We would have more than likely went back and bought the hat from them had their attitude not changed I guess that just put a bad taste in our mouth. Especially when it was so helpful throughout the...
Read moreCame specifically to this store to buy some nice hats for photo shoots for my family, friends and I. We have children with us and were immediately looked at with disdain because I assume they thought we were either not buying anything or there to destroy the store. We started looking around and trying on hats, as one does when going into a hat store. My children were looking at hat brushes not knowing they were for hats. Instead of letting us know this, they were yelled at “those aren’t for hair!”.. they’re literally 6 & 9 years old children. They weren’t doing anything damaging. I can tell the people here aren’t a fan of people coming in with their kids. That comment and aggression made us wrap it up leave right away; I refused to spend one dollar. Just an FYI, Helen promotes families to visit, so if you don’t want kids in your store, find a new location or...
Read moreI was in with my husband and two younger children. My three-year-old was in the kids’ section with the hats. SHE LOVES hats. While we were in the middle of looking at them the younger lady employee was coming over fixing the hats while we were still looking at them and was acting annoyed we were even in the store. Fix the hats when we leave. Instead of asking my son nicely to not touch the mirror, she as VERY rude to him (he is 7) STOP TOUCHING THE MIRROR! I told her she should use more of a POSITIVE attitude towards her customers that WERE about to buy 3 hats! We decided to leave and go spend our money at Unicoi outfitters. The guy working was SO nice and pleasant. It is crazy how some of these younger kids working are ruining the experience for people just trying to SPEND money in the store. If you don't like your job, FIND another one. WILL...
