The bagels are delicious however, I do not think I will be returning to Yonah Coffee Company. I was really excited to try this place out since all the reviews looked so great and every time I walk by there's always a line going out the door, it just looked like a great place to stop by for some breakfast. I waited in line for probably 15 minutes before I could place my order, once I got to the cashier I just asked for their breakfast burrito as well as an Iced Cowboy. The cashier proceeded to give me an odd look and then said that they do not have burritos at that location. At first, I thought their online menu just did not match up with their menu in-store - but then I realized "Breakfast Burrito" was literally written on the menu board behind him. I decided to go with a bagel instead, I did think it was a little odd that they did not have an everything bagel, so I just settled for a blueberry bagel. I was a little disappointed when I got my bagel and saw that the cream cheese was not even put on it. I am not sure about their other coffees but the Iced Cowboy was listed online for $5 but my receipt said it was $6? I am not a big fan of Yonah Coffee, hopefully, they will fix their menu...
Read moreMain problems that I had with this place were the staffing and the space. Regarding the staffing, every time we’ve gone, there have been only one or two people working. If things aren’t too busy, that’s fine. However, with a crowd of people, that can REALLY slow things down, particularly if only one person is working. Regarding the space, the indoor area is tiny; there’s only room for a few small tables. This also isn’t really a problem if things aren’t busy. However, the small space during busy times leads to the most annoying problem with this place: not only is there a standing-room-only crush of people, but the two entrances in two different parts of the store means that there is utter confusion on where the line begins. Last time we went, we walked in, then walked out. Regarding their product, my wife was fine with their regular brewed coffee, and while I was disappointed that they didn’t have English breakfast tea, I was fine with the Chai they had. Honestly, just one more barista and having one door clearly marked “entrance” and one clearly marked “exit” would solve most of...
Read moreMy wife and I took a trip up to Helen to see the Xmas lights. We are huge coffee drinkers and we very excited to see a new coffee shop there. We peaked our heads in to see if they still had a little bit of coffee left since it was right at closing. The owner was very nice and invited us in. That's when we learned that all their coffee is fresh brewed and furthermore all grown locally! Not only did we enjoy a truly unique coffee experience, but we also had long conversation with the owner. He was very gracious and hospitable. I had the "Yonah Blend", which had a strong yet smooth flavor. I'm craving it even now as I write this. Coupled with the owner's great conversation it was quite possibly the best cup of coffee I've ever had. I can't wait to go back, only this time I think I'll return with a bag...
