Worst experience for me and my young children. I prepared all of the documents I need for my 2childrenâs passports. I have sole custody of my children and gave this old lady window#2 my custody documents, my ID and my passport first. But she kept asking me where the dad is over and over. Even my kids felt that she was âbullyingâ me. Finally a manager-looking lady came and cleared everything RIGHT AWAY.
She asked me for driverâs license. I donât drive thatâs why I only have state ID. She asked again, I replied with the same answer,,, over and over.. She finally stopped asking me the same question and she scoffed and tilted her head a bit then threw my ID back at me, literally, THREW it back at me.
The next day, I brought my oldest daughter for her passport appointment and the same lady sneered at me and said âYou have another daughter?!?!â So I told her calmly âYes I do. Do you have a problem with that?â She gave me a surprised face. Obviously she wasnât expecting me to get back at her that way and that made her quiet for a while.
First of all, I have 3 children, thatâs not her business. She is not in a position to get nosy or say anything about my family situation. I understand when people get old, they tend to become childish and careless. But that doesnât mean she can harass people and state her own opinions about me and my children publicly as she wishes, at my face inside the government office.
At the end of the appointment, she asked me âDid I make a copy of your ID yesterday for other kids?â âŠâŠ..Does that mean she FORGOT to add some documents on my kids files?! Lady, I canât walk into your copy machine area so how could I know what you forgot? Did you forget that you threw it back at me?
Iâm writing this as my record so I know what she did and didnât. Itâs her mistake, not mine.
I recommend people to go to the passport center, not this satellite city hall, if you are divorced and remarried or your kids have different father. You will be harassed and be shamed repeatedly.
Iâll never go there,...
Read moreI have never been more frustrated or insulted in my life. Jasmine (desk clerk) was probably the least helpful person in the building, followed by Clarice. I attempted to renew my vehicle registration & they charged me twice, two different amounts. When I asked them to void the charge they refused and made me wait over half an hour to speak with Heather, the manager, who I was not allowed to speak to until Jasmine went back and told her a whole different story. Heather, naturally, came out with an attitude and refused to void the charge or give me a receipt for both charges, so I asked to speak to her manager only to be once again made to wait for another 15 minutes for Jasmine to toss a post-it note at me and laugh. When Heather came back out and finally voided the transaction and corrected Jasmineâs mistake, Clarice decided to walk over and interrupt our conversation (she literally walked away from helping someone else to come yell at me). Rather than correct her, Heather allowed her to yell at me over the counter about how she inserted herself in the conversation because I was talking about her. No one behaved like an adult, no one handled themself professionally, and no one but Heather apologized their mistake. I will be pursuing my complaints with Helen and further if necessary because my experience was absolutely awful. If you can go ANYWHERE else, I STRONGLY encourage you to do so, as basic human decency apparently isnât expected of employees at...
Read morePray that you don't encounter Heather! She is INCOMPETENT! SLOW AS A SLOTH, WASTE OF TIME & A DAY OFF OF WORK WITH AN APPOINTMENT kind of city worker. No sense of urgency, her time is more valuable than yours kind of attitude. You can feel the nasty energy as you approach her window (bring Ti leaf & salt lol) You could tell the nice lady at the door has beef with her! This is the kind of person you would never want to hire in customer service or the front of the house. The sad part is you know she is just counting down the hours to go home, wake up & do it all over again kind of life. I came to this realization after 4 painful appointments with...you guessed it HEATHER! Instead of talking, she condescendingly barks at you. Instead of listening, she assumes she knows it all & has heard everything. This was for a simple title transfer from the mainland. The sad part is she will continue working there to collect her pension, until then I can only warn you to pass the lady up & wait for the next sensible, competent, decent, did I say competent worker! AVOID HEATHER!!!! You have...
