Just wanted to share that I moved back home to the islands about 10 years ago and never went to DADA salon before...until...I met this awesome guy (Ryan Taniguchi) out having dinner with friends who told me he was a stylist/creative at the DADA salon and to come visit! Ryan had this great mainland style but local so I just liked his overall vibe. He was so sweet and I could just tell I was going to be able to trust him with my hair which is RARE in Hawai'i!!! SO... I made an appointment not knowing what we really were going to do, i just expressed that I hated the Black in my hair. At my appointment he was so honest and didn't say I needed a million things to fix it - he also did not make me feel bad as I admitted I use boxed dye a few times during Covid ( i know, dont judge lol) . He spent time with me explaining my options to keep my hair healthy and get it to the length I wanted without too much damage. We decided to take baby steps and although there isn't a drastic change (which many hairdressers just want to do) - I left feeling more beautiful and refreshed than when I came in! Not to mention I was blown away by the overall 'experience' I had at the Salon that started with me having the option to get a cocktail (i know, right ;) or coffee at the DADA cafe' (it was a tough decision but i went with the coffee ;). I may have to return for nails, massage, or extensions...or ALL three! ha! Hopefully Ryan sees this post and it makes him smile, DADA is lucky to have him and I cant wait to go back for my touch up in three weeks! And deff telling all my friends! Aloha...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of experiencing a Korean facial service with Mila Bang , that exceeded my expectations in every way. The inclusion of lymphatic drainage in the package was a major draw for me, and I was thrilled to find that the massage portion of the facial was even more exceptional than a standalone massage.
The treatment itself was pure bliss, but the real magic happened in the days that followed. I typically hold tension in my jaw and ear area, but after the service, the tenderness was gone, replaced by a softness that made me feel like a new person. I also noticed a significant reduction in puffiness under my eyes, which I attribute to the lymphatic drainage possibly helping to alleviate blockages caused by Botox use.
Overall, this experience was truly transformative, and I consider it money well spent. My skin felt smooth and glassy, and I would eagerly book weekly appointments if I could. If you're looking for a holistic approach to skincare and relaxation, I highly recommend this service. It's a wonderful way to pamper yourself and address underlying issues that can affect your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSee Phree for a great experience all around! She works miracles and I highly recommend booking with her!! Phree has a calm and collected vibe, she really knows what sheās doing and is a kind soul who really puts you at ease in her chair.
I had a few photos of what I had in mind and we landed on doing a multi-dimensional caramel brown balayage foilyage. It came out better than I expected. I honestly canāt remember leaving a salon chair so thrilled.
Phree was fast and efficient with the foils and coloring process and also gave me a trim and styled me up.
Total time in the chair was around 3 hours but it was a transformation for me in terms of my confidence and happiness with my appearance.
Dada salon notes- Parking in the Ala moana hotel or across the street at Ala moana near macyās.
Salon is HUGE! Lots of stylists were doing their thing all around us. The salon seems like no frills, simple decor, not a āhereās a glass of champagne with your hair treatmentā type of salon. Waiting area was simple with a tv and...
