They build good computers however, they overprice for labor ($275 to diagnose non working pc). I went a week ago to see if they could work on my computer that they had built for me. I told the worker at the time what the issue was and that I had took it to another shop to get it checked out, they told me that the computer was under warranty but I would have to pay a $275 fee for them to work on it. I asked if they could just give me the cpu that I needed to fix my computer without having to pay any fees and they told me that I would receive an email with a response (which I have not yet received). I told them I would have to think about paying the labor fee to fix the pc due to the hefty price tag. A week later (today) I decided that I would just pay the $275 fee and have them fix it. When I went down there it was a different worker so I told him the same thing I told the other worker but this time they told me it was not covered under warranty. At this point I was just a little annoyed because I had to drive down pretty far but not too bothered. I told the worker that I wish they would have told me that I had to change the thermal paste every now and then because I was a newbie to pc gaming. He then started talking to me like I was a little kid and overly justify the insane $275 fee, even though I hadn’t complained about it up until that point, just to take apart the computer and find out what was wrong. Hpower is overpriced and has bad communication with their customers, even when I first went there to purchase my computer they did not tell me the specs of the pc that they would build for me. H Power computing has always been SO impressive to me. Several years ago, when my friend wanted a quote to reactivate an old hard drive they had, I tagged along with him to H Power's initial location around Vineyard street. I was a little intimidated at first, because computers are not something I know much about. However, their facility was inviting and clean, and the staff was very professional, clear, and concise when answering my friends' questions. Everyone was so nice! Staff was immediately available and their advanced internal organization was apparent.

Fast forward to 2020, I found myself desperately needing help fixing my own hard drive malfunction. I knew exactly where to go! I checked out H Power, this time on Pohukaina Street. Again, the staff was friendly, honest, concise, sincere, and even gave me general computer advice I didnt even know to ask for. They even recommended to me what THEY do and what programs they use on their own personal computer, and why. I felt so taken care of. Before leaving, the staff even asked if I'd like the actual technician who worked on my computer to come out and explain to me in thorough detail what they did to my computer and how they fixed it.

H Power Computing is my go-to for all my computer needs. Hip treats his customers and his work with professionalism and gets the job done in a timely manner. He explains how everything works and provides a range of options but still gives his recommendation on what he thinks is best. There was a time when I was in the middle of writing a paper and my computer crashed. I thought I was going to lose everything and I had a tight deadline to meet. My computer would not even turn on. I went to Hip and he saw me the same day. He diagnosed the problem quickly. Hip was able to save and retrieve all my data and he offered to trade my old computer for a new one so now I am the proud owner of a MacBook Air. He gave me a fair deal and told me that the Air might be a better option for me because they have a solid state drive that does not spin and so it lasts longer. My computer is still going strong and I could not be happier. I definitely think my computer crashing was a blessing in disguise because I was able to get great service from Hip, nothing was lost, and I gained a new computer!
