UPDATE July 2022 We just returned from Oahu, and we spent 3 days with Godspeed Adventures this time! Godspeed planned it all, and we did so much! September 2018 One month ago our family of 4 vacationed on Oahu for 2 weeks, a vacation we planned a year prior. As time got closer I began worrying about how I was possibly going to undertake all of the activities that our family wanted to do. There are so many opportunities yet the car rental, travel on unfamiliar roads to new places, obtaining ideal reservation times; all of this seemed daunting. Then I stumbled across Robert’s website for Godspeed Adventures. What a game changer! I booked 2 full days with Robert and accomplished more in those days than I likely could have on my own in the 2 weeks we were on island. Let me tell you what made it so great.

Godspeed Adventures is a private tour operator owned and run by Robert Crevier, a remarkable person. He knows Oahu backwards and forward. He knows the Hawaiian history, the roads, the activities, the locations, and the food. He also knows the folks who run the activities. Planning of activities is therefore limited to emails with Robert a few weeks before arriving on island. You look at activities on his website, or others that you discover on your own and Robert plans it all out. Robert knows when and where to go to see magnificent sea turtles, where one might come across the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal, where to eat lunch and where to jump off cliffs into the ocean.

So let me tell you how it worked. Robert picked us up in his vehicle at our hotel at 8 am. It was fully stocked with snacks and drinks, loaded up with kayaks overhead. We headed for Diamond Head and hiked to the top, then drove to Waikiki Beach and played in the waves, then boarded a catamaran and sailed, then headed for the Waikiki Harbor to go parasailing. All along the way we learned history, heard anecdotes, with no hassle of GPS directions, parking, fees, reservations, food costs. Robert did it all. And he continuously shot pictures of the activities, the environment, and our family. We were exhausted when he dropped us off at our hotel, amazed at all we had done on day 1.

The next day was even busier, visiting historic sites in the mountains,, hiking through bamboo forests to ancient King’s summer home ruins, swimming in the ocean at multiple locations, snorkeling in Shark Cove, jumping into the ocean from rocks 25 feet high, eating at the famous food trucks on the North Shore. I cannot imagine any way I could have planned all of this on my own. Of course both days gave Robert the opportunity to discuss other things that we could easily accomplish on our own for the remainder of the trip.

Our family hasn’t stopped talking about our entire 2 week trip in general, but our comments and lasting memories seem to be the time we spent with Robert and Godspeed Adventures. Our next trip to Hawaii will definitely include Godspeed Adventures, probably for another 2 or possibly 3 days. I highly recommend this private tour company for your family vacation. While some might balk at the expense of hiring a private tour guide I would recommend reconsidering. The cost of travel to Hawaii is substantial, as are lodging costs. The Island has so much to offer that it becomes a challenge to sort what you will be able to do and what you will have to forego. For many families a Hawaiian vacation is once in a lifetime. Booking an adventure with Robert is the best way to make the most of your vacation, see the best parts of Oahu, and participate in the most activities. I must add, after 2 days with Robert saying goodbye was somewhat difficult. Our family felt as though we were saying goodbye to a close friend we had known forever.

Let me give you the bottom line first… push the “book now” button and schedule this day of adventure with Godspeed! Hands down you will have a memorable day and probably knock off some of the things on your bucket list.

Yesterday 5 of us spent the day with Robert cruising the island, kayaking, climbing Chinaman’s hat, paddle boarding, chilling in a sea cave and somewhere after photoing turtles and watching the pipeline competition for a bit, we ate at the best food trucks in the area, which only a local is going to know about.

He picked us up at our hotel in a comfy van, loaded with all the equipment we would need for multiple outings and dropped us off after we had totally trashed his van with a day full of sand-filled fun. Oh and did I mention we were drinking Mai Tai's by 10am?

Godspeed tours is very different from the rest of the offerings out there — because you not only have the option of doing some exciting things on the island, but you have the benefit of doing them with a talented photographer and a lovely human being. Robert is seamlessly taking pictures all day of your group and then shows his amazing photos of your day on the ride back to your residence. Within a day of your memory making, he will send you the link to all your photos. In this way no one in your group has to worry about capturing memories with their cell phone all day because Robert does it for you.

All of us agreed, we felt like we had made a good friend by the end of the day. We are all returning in September and have already told him we’ll be back. So hey Robert, hanging out in the shark cave and sky-diving is next on my agenda! See you in September!

We had the most amazing vacation to Oahu, and a ton of it had to do with Robert and Sitarani with Godspeed Adventures!! We had a group of 10 who did 2 different days with Godspeed, and I would recommend them over and over and over again!! We had a 14+ hour day on our Circle Island tour. Not only did they take us to amazing sightseeing and adventure places, but we took a different route than most tour groups. For example, at our first stop, while most people are parked at an overlook, Robert and Sitarani had us park on the road, walk out on the rocks, and then climb DOWN the rocks to the beach! We snorkeled, hiked, swam, and had breathtaking views. My favorite thing though—not worrying about taking my phone out to take pictures or video the entire day! They captured so many amazing pictures and views for us, which will last a lifetime! We got so many pictures of our entire group, which allowed us to really take in the scenery and enjoy our day!! We went CLIFF JUMPING, and the kids have so many amazing memories. Sitarani was especially amazing with my 10 year old daughter, who really wanted to jump but was scared. Her sweet, calming demeanor and reassurance helped her to conquer her fear and jump! Both of my kids on separate occasions told me they felt like we have known Robert and Sitarani for years!! And my daughter told me how Sitarani feels like she’s her aunt :). They both treated us like family, and now they are our family! The Big Ten now becomes the Big Twelve :). The second day we got to hang with them, we did a sunset catamaran cruise. Again, being with Robert and Sitarani was like being with family! We got the most amazing pictures and had a blast ending our last night in gorgeous Hawaii. You will not regret choosing Godspeed Adventures!! We love you, Robert and Sitarani!
