Good vegan options for breakfast loving people. Quick stop for a breakfast bite, and we all decided some vegan breakfast to start the day. Service was attentive, but they seemed understaffed. I got an acai bowl with hemp hearts and a breakfast wrap. Took some time for the bowl and wrap to come out since there were only 2 people working, and we were a party of 6. Ok, the Acai bowl was stingy on the toppings. 2 strawberries about 5 blueberries, half banana, and a pinch of hemp hearts for an extra dollar, really? Good taste overall. Ok, moving on to the breakfast wrap. Contains local sautéed kale, portobello mushrooms, roasted red bell pepper, black beans, red onion, Olena scrambled tofu in a whole wheat tortilla. Overpowering amounts of kale. Mushrooms were unseen or tasted. Black beans had barely any flavoring, barely any red peppers, and no onions that I tasted. Scrambled tofu was pale in flavor. The only thing I could taste was the kale, wheat tortilla, and salsa they provide in the side. I gave it a 3rd star just because they were playing some sweet reggea music, and i they sell CBD pre-rolls, which I gladly purchased. Would maybe change rating if I were to try other things on the menu, but for now, I would advise that you try at your own...

I was not overwhelmed by this place after trying.

Pros: cafe is a clean, lovely place to eat environment wise cafe people answered all my questions about allergies as much as they could. Some things like baked goods they don't know about

Cons: Their wait is SO long. I ordered one waffle and it took them 20 minutes, the whole restaurant was empty, i was the only one there. Insane. Acai bowl was not blended appropriately at all. There were 3 large rock like chunks of acai medium size that ruined the whole enjoyment of a smoothie bowl. The granola was overpowering and too much. i got the vegan, gluten free waffle. It was good, not the best i've had. I removed the banana due to an allergy and they had no blueberries. I asked them to sub goji berries and place more strawberries, strawberries were still very minimal. If there's 2 fruits out of the picture, would have appreciated being more kind with portions. pricier obv because they are in waikiki. But surrounding places can be...

Slow, unprofessional, uncaring staffs. I got an over priced latte because they are vegan. There were 2 ppl working in the front, one person was working in the kitchen. It wasn't a busy day, and I ordered latte, and waited, waited... waited... waited roughly 10 min. I was observing the work flow of the lady who was helping me, she was running back and forth and gets nothing done! I stood there watching her being scatter minded for 10 min. Other two didn't even bother to help me out when the other one was busy being distracted. Also, one of their employees' nails were grossly long at where they constantly touch customers' drinks and foods. The latte is mediocre, I should've gone to Honolulu Coffee Co, their latte's about the same price or lower but they make the latte art for you, and you can tell they put some effort to make your drink, and enlighten your day. I intended to help out the local business, but these small details really killing...

In my experience and opinion this place does not deserve the high ratings it receives. Ordered the avo toast on gluten free bread. I expected more avo on the toast and the pesto was okay. The latte and capuchino with almond milk was gritty, not a good taste and not even hot when served. This is my 3rd time eating here and not as good as it was before. I honestly would not recommend it and will not return at least for awhile. Maybe it's another pandemic casualty and people are giving the high ratings only because they're happy to be out again. I cannot agree with the high and popular ratings as I did not have the similar high rated experience. The staff is friendly, helpful and best part of my experience at Olena.

Fantastic, healthy, feel-food spot! Many wonderful vegan foods. The lox bagel was something special. Delicious cashew cream cheese with well-marinated veggies that captured the unique lox taste in a way that only plant-based lox can. The breakfast sandwich was a nice, lighter chickpea salad was really nice and left us feeling good. And, as all the reviews suggested, we went for the Olena waffe, which was so pretty and a nice treat to share. Really nice breakfast stop after spending some time walking around Ala Moana. Would highly recommend!
