We booked on b**king.com, it did not say on site that this is B&B style accomodation so no reception, luggage storage, airport transfers etc. The hotel is older style in great location but rooms facing opposite side of the entrance road will have to put up with noise from bars below, we were on floor 20 and it was loud but finishes at 10pm. The hallways are dim with old carpet and the ‘roof top’ pool is actually on level 4 and quite small and average. Our room 2006 was well laid out with all amenities and had just had a new air conditioner installed but you could write your name in the dust on the fridge, the tv had been unplugged to plug in the new air con. We moved the TV stand out from the wall and noted a buildup of heavy dust, behind the old lounge which was sitting on timber blocks was the same including dead cockroach.||Left over tiles on the verandah wasn’t a great look and the new air con drained condensate straight onto the verandah.||The shower solid mixer tap only just sits on and fell off and landed on my foot and there is what appears to be mould on the ceiling above the TV. The vent in the bathroom is almost blocked with heavy dust.||The double bed is probably the cheapest ‘flat pack’ frame you can buy. A thorough deep clean and new lounge, tap fixed etc would make a big difference. Other rooms may be better as different owners?||A second key fob would be great if couples aren’t together as it is required for the lift, we were told to leave the key fob in the key box down stairs I’m not sure how you get to your room.. via the stairs to floor 20 ?||Probably better options in Waikiki, I probably wouldn’t stay again.||Some of the easier issues were addressed the same day we raised them. Read moreMe and my love stayed here once we had an accommodation fall through. Nicco ( so sorry if I’m misspelling his name!) was super nice, he upgraded us for free which was wonderful. There was a full size fridge easy access to restaurants and shops, no view of the beach which was perfectly okay with us. There was plenty of clean good smelling towels and the room had a coffee maker, some dishes and was overall wonderful! ||||Now for the not so good part. If you have a kid or infant or pet even. I would recommend against this place only because there was a bar with … LOUD music. Me and my love are heavy sleepers and at the end of the day or if you’re so sunburned you have to nurse it at your hotel, the music ( I thought was a wedding the first night, my brain was like awww cool! Love music) the music and base and the woman singing was belting all the way until 2 am. I thought okay not so bad right? Nope. She did it the next night as well and then the next. Every night it was music so loud that we couldn’t sleep, the music was so loud we couldn’t watch any movie to drown it out or anything. ( yet again a cute perfect place which the owner was super sweet and in a central location) it was honestly just the music. Starting from 3:30 all the way until 2 am.||||So! If you have kids or a baby, see if you could stay on the other side of the building maybe? Because it was a super cute place, just the music was too much ( yet again not the owners fault he was perfectly lovely).||||So great place. Just bad music booming until 2 am...
Read moreIt seemed like a nice place from thousands of miles away when we booked our condo rental. There is a beer garden/outdoor concert venue on the Northeast side of the building that plays loud, poor covers of otherwise great songs from 5pm-11:30pm daily depending on how busy they are, which isn't mentioned anywhere in the listing. The bed was hard as a rock and the kitchen in our unit on the 14th floor was poorly equipped. We slept horrible due to the constant sirens, music, and general chaos that surrounds Waikiki. Will not be coming back to Waikiki again. We tried to get flights home two days early and weren't able to. Overall it was a mistake. I will say that the staff at the security desk was VERY helpful, kind, and friendly, and was the most pleasant part of our stay. Unfortunately that interaction only accounted for 30 mins of the 4 days we were in Waikiki. We were going to try the restaurant on the ground floor, but it was always empty (no atmosphere) and was...
