I'm embarrassed to say that I wish I could leave this place a 0 star review. For a place that claims to have authentic Italian food, in the middle of the Waikiki area for $30 per dish, what they seemed to only serve was disappointment.
From the moment my husband and I arrived, there were only a few other tables that were filled. After we placed our order at the front and sat down, several other groups of people came in, had their food served, and finished their dishes before we even were served ours. We were never offered any water, and we noticed that all of the dishes that came out of the kitchen were served on Dixie paper plates with plastic utensils, which I find to be absurd considering each dish cost anywhere from $20-40. The staff seemed very flustered and disorganized.
My husband ordered a truffle pizza which was mediocre at best. I ordered a lobster ravioli that took over 1 hour to be served. None of the waiters checked in with us and we had to flag down the staff to ask them 3 times about the ravioli. Each time we asked we were told "only 5 more minutes." Then, the owner came out with a pepperoni pizza and delivered it to our table, but I had to correct him and remind him that I asked for my ravioli about 20 minutes prior. Finally after waiting 1 hour, the owner came out with my "dish", which was comprised of only FOUR SMALL pieces of ravioli, all of which were COLD, which makes us think that the dish was cooked a long time ago, and they had left it to sit out. It didn't even taste right and I honestly think a microwave TV dinner would have been better quality.
If you're looking for good quality Italian food in Waikiki, do NOT come here. Your money is better spent elsewhere. I think this place had some potential since it is clear they spent more money on decorations (with a Ferrari in the restaurant to go along with the Magnum PI theme), but they were very understaffed and probably don't have a dishwasher (hence paper plates). They can't even be bothered to put a toilet in the men's room (according to my husband, there was only a urinal in a private bathroom). I repeat, do...
Read moreTo start, it was busy when my family arrived, we were given a table quickly that was our reservation. The owner came over came over first and took our drink orders, my son ordered a root beer, he made a stinky cheese face and said no then walked off, didn’t bring any of the drinks. The server arrived and took our drink and food order, small things like requesting straws was ignored but the waitress across the restaurant was able to help us. Food was phenomenal, pastas were cooked perfectly, the carbonara sauce was smooth, and the bruschetta was one of the best. Portions were on par with other local restaurants. After eating, we were ignored by the owner and our server after making eye contact and asking for a to go box and the check, 2 tables around us had ordered, finished eating and got their check. The waitress across the restaurant was again very helpful and brought us a box but said we would have to pay with our server. We followed her around the restaurant as she rushed to close the restaurant. We finally got the check and paid. We have never not left a tip until tonight. The server assumed she was getting the change but we told her we wanted it and then we left. 10/10 for food, everything was absolutely amazing. 2/10 for atmosphere, it was outdated, not clean, cluttered and the owner was rude. 1/10 for service, we didn’t ask for a lot, and the basics for serving were barely met, mostly by the server across the restaurant, she gets a 10/10 as she was able to get...
Read moreBusy little place. Basic seating, and furniture. We got seated, and placed our order. A young couple come in and said they were in a hurry, so ordered as they say down. Then a couple were seated next to us. Small oriental waitress was running around serving everyone. We were brought some plates (nice pattern). The couple next to us had a brishetta placed on their table. We had ordered first and had brushetta as a starter, so I wondered if it was ours? Anyway, they ate that. The young couple had their food brought out. Some people paid and left and the couple next to us had these mains. A guy with an Italian acce not was doing some serving and chatting. The owner? We were getting pretty fed up with waiting now and I managed to catch the waitress, who looked at us nd our plates with a confused look, as if it was the first time she had seen us. She went to the bar and there was a frantic discussion with the barman and owner. They told us our order hadn't gone into the kitchen. They would do it quickly. We soon got our brushetta. The couple next to us paid and left. We had taken one bite of our starter when they brought out our spaghetti bolognese . My wife sent it back. We wanted to enjoy our starter and our wine and have our main after. It wasn't a race. The good was ok. We finished it and got your bill. As we left the young rushed couple were still sat there chatting, having finished their meal an hour ago. If you go here, tell them you...
