Stay far far far away from this place unless you want to be dismissed and gaslighted! Dr. Gibson was one of my last hopes to get help for my autoimmune issues only to be told I don't have any, sent a letter to my current doctor lying about a mood disorder that I have NEVER been diagnosed with. Thanks to her negligence and unprofessional conduct, I will most likely be looking for an attorney after this. She also falsifies things on her after care summary's stating she performs exams that she doesn't. She put down another treating physician of mine who has been practicing for over 35 years calling her the "hormone doctor" which is not her title at all! She told me the medication I was taking was not used for rheumatology conditions even though it is clearly stated to do so and my blood work shows it has had tremendous effects. We should have walked out when I told her I wanted a more natural alternative treatment and she said I just prescribe medications. She basically smiled while making snarky comments then basically said if I didn't have pics or biopsies of all of it then it's not an issue. Who the heck takes a pic of every mouth sore, face rash, and body rash? Not many! I told her I was in a lot of pain and she shrugged that off too. Thank God I see a pain management specialist who would never ever treat a patient that way. This is the absolute WORST I've ever been treated by a rheumatologist! in my life. Please book somewhere else or you'll spend your afternoon in tears like I did after basically being called a liar behind my back in a letter to my primary care doctor. Her staff was very nice to me at least! I wish I would've read some of the other bad reviews before booking here but her having a TON of openings should have been my first red flag in the whole process. Don't walk away from here, RUN! Dr Gibson is NOT knowledgeable in anything but the basics even with updated and new studies on rheumatology! No one needs a medication dispenser, they need loving care especially with autoimmune diseases and...
Read moreThe after-hours phones are a nightmare. Option 2, to leave a non-emergency message, doesn't give you a chance to leave a message. Option 5, to reach the answering service, reaches only a recording that asks you to leave a message. No other options are offered.
These phones have been a problem for a long, long time but I guess the staff never calls itself to experience that themselves.
This time I was trying to respond to a live message left on my answering machine by a staff person. The staff person obviously did not get the correct information to help her make the call: she had gotten the information from a "John" ~ a name on another Vo digital device (also automated) that asked me to leave a message.
So you rarely get to talk to a real live person. The non-surprising result is confusion, like the kind that happens when people don't talk to people.
The people there are nice enough ~ once you get in and are standing there in person at the counter. And Doctor Vo is nice enough: I am so very surprised she allows such sloppy performance on the part of her staff. Whoever is supposed to make the phones work is definitely dropping the ball and probably should be replaced by a more competent person.
I am a patient who writes under...

Over the past 3 months, the office has done a much better job of communicating for the doctors. I want to mention that when they do get your questions and concerns to the right person, you can and will expect a phone call to discuss. This has been just great!
Dr. Vo is a fantastic doctor and there is no disputing that. She truly cares, listens to patients and acts quickly. I see her PA often and have had great experiences there in terms of care, listening, and adapting care to handle my RA.
Communicating with the Houston location requires a great deal of patience and persistence. This is understandable given the shortage of good Rheum Drs in Houston but it can be frustrating at times. Once you get someone, they are helpful and friendly.
As with many/most specialty doctors, you can't guarantee to be seen at your appointment time. So, schedule when you have flexibility with...
