My first and only visit to this store! After shopping for cleats, when leaving the footwear dept, I asked an employee the location of the football stuff, gloves, mouth guard, etc, he said he didn't know. That all he (my son) needs are cleats to play football. He really didn't know where the other stuff is located. I browsed my way to the checkout and asked the clerk. He too, had no idea where those items would be! I walked around until I found the aisle, got what I needed, and went back to checkout. I asked the clerk about using some coupons, he didn't know if I could use them, he tried to scan them and none worked, but he didn't know why. His register went down, he called the manager, who never came, I waited, and waited, he had no idea where the mgr was or why she hadn't came or even called the register. I finally asked him to page her again. I waited longer. Two people lined up behind me. Finally the manager walked slowly up to the register. Instead of fixing the register, she started checking out the people behind me at a different register. Not helping my clerk at all. Finally, I told her I'd been waiting here at least 20 min and she needs to help the clerk finish my purchase. She completely ignored me. After checking out the first person, instead of helping me, she continued checking out the next customer. Meanwhile, another clerk came up and tried to help my clerk. They had no idea how to fix the register. At this point I raised my voice at the uncaring rude, manager. I was furious she, the manager, of all people, had not bothered to help her incapably clerk. She stood there, just smiling while she checked out more customers!! There was no apology for the delay, no customer service at all! She clearly didn't care that I'd been there, going on a half an hour, just trying to make my purchase. I tried to give the employees the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they were new. But the attitude of the manager, was inexcusable. I was appalled at the lack of customer service she provided. Absolutely have never been treated so badly by any retail store in this town (any town). I have been in customer service all my life, including retail. I pride myself on the great service I give my clients. This woman should not be in customer service. She doesn't know the meaning of the word. Perhaps Durham Sports should provide some customer service training. This store...
   Read moreReally like going in here to look around and waste time and think about buying something the next time I'm back, but today went in to look at the sales and go into the mall, but it seems every time I have gone into this Dunham's I get followed as if they think I'm stealing but I always chalked it up to just being paranoid, or they are just making sure I don't need help with something, but today set it as proof as I was followed by a lady talking on her radio saying she's sure I'm "pocketing" something and isn't sure where I am, she didn't know I was on the other side of the aisle, so I left to go into the mall and look at the other stores bought something there, but I had to leave though the front of Dunham's since that's where I parked and so I leave and there she is at the front and then keeps looking over at me as I leave, the door alarm doesn't go off proving I didn't take anything as almost 100% of everything I have ever bought at Dunham's has a security tag in it but yet there she is following me out on her radio saying something is in his hands, even though its from a different store and in a small clear bag, she's out there watching me leave in my vehicle and only goes inside once I'm further out and I know she wasn't looking at anyone else as I was the only customer leaving at that time, like come on not everyone who walks in and wants to look and not buy at the moment is stealing. honestly just annoying to know I cant go in here without being targeted, but I'll do it anyways to give them...
   Read moreMy husband and I visited the store on 17Mar25, to purchase a gun safe and fishing rods. We waited to be he helped with the safes and we were informed that if we purchased the 660 pound safe that it would be dropped at the outside of the front door and no store employee would be allowed to help load the item. We could not pull around and have it loaded onto our truck and it would just be taken out the door. I am sorry, but I am at a loss on how this is right for a store to do this. I am not asking anyone to break their back, when they have a loading bay and they cannot put it in my truck, I am supposed to patronize their store, and rent equipment to lift it into my truck. I tried to buy a handgun once in this location and was told the system was down. I have bought numerous guns and have never been told the system is down. We walked out of Dunhamâs and told the guy we would never come back and I would pay full price before I ever shopped at Dunhamâs again.
