My experience was absolutely wonderful!
I had the consultant Katie - she was so sweet! Because I came in about 7 months before my wedding I knew my options might be limited. She asked me what I wanted and timeline. Had the dresses I could choose from in no time. Had helpful input was not over bearing or trying to push to make the sale. Recommend her 100%!!
My dress came in a month before my wedding. It took 6 months to come in because it was a unique color (red). I called several times to make sure everything was alright and on schedule everyone was helpful at the store.
Alterations appointment went WONDERFUL. Maria is the greatest person to work with. Very clear on everything. She did a ribbon bustle. It made things so easy. I am 5â2ââ so the hem was very long. She pinned everything perfectly, meticulous, and spent time making sure everything was perfect.
I was worried about price of the dress and alterations, it depends greatly on what you want. Dresses and alterations vary in price. I spent under $1000 on everything.
I did look at other places and private people to do the alterations and here are the things I found. Are they cheaper? Sometimes yes. Many alteration places are booked months in advance. The problem I had was finding someone who does wedding dresses because of the liability of how much they cost/if there is a mess up. Prices vary based on how complicated the alterations are. Just because someone is cheaper does not make the alterations good. I have had friends who have gone through this. Days before their wedding something is wrong. Or the alterations are done incorrectly. It happens all the time!!! Please be careful. In the wedding resale groups of Ohio people post horror stories everyday which made me very nervous. I went with Davidâs alterations because it primarily does wedding dresses. If they mess something up, it will get fixed/they will try to make it right because you bought it through them. I did not want a situation of someone private botching the dress and only having days to find a new one while being out the money. I paid around $300 for my alterations because of the rush fee because I needed it so quickly.
Overall, I had a great experience and will recommend this location in the future. As well as use it for...
Read moreAppointment went okay, I needed to try on a different size dress because the last time I was there it was a year ago and I have lost weight. My daughter also was trying on a dress just to verify that she still needed the same size. The girl helping us out was nice I donât remember her name. She was younger with blonde hair. I honestly donât remember being told her name. Towards the end though I didnât really care for her and I understand that the girls work on commission, I completely understand that. I asked for a quote on the prices of the two dresses. I was advised that the dress that I picked out would be $90 and that was with $10 off and then I was advised that my daughterâs dress was $30 off and that would be $90 as well. I had limited funds today so when I was getting ready to pay, she told me the pricing and then she told me that my daughterâs dress was actually not $30 off. At that point in time I couldnât do it so I said you know Iâll just wait and order online which was the initial plan from the beginning as I donât wanna make another trip to Canton as we live over an hour away but I was advised that if I ordered in store, I wouldnât pay shipping online and it would help her out. Shipping on the website is free if you spend more than $75, which is what I wouldâve been doing it definitely seems like the girl helping us that was not happy with me and like I said, I totally understand that they work on commission, but as soon as I said that I would have to wait and order online when I have the extra money it was like we didnât matter she could care less that we were there and the attitude just wasnât great like instead of being understanding it was complete opposite. I did not feel welcomed at that point. I thanked her for her time said goodbye and got...
Read moreI did not think I would find anything today. I also was not to looking at Davidâs bridal. When walking in I really wasnât greeted, I was asked if I had an appointment by leigh a red and black haired tall girl. Unfortunately I did not because I wasnât planning on coming there. I said no I donât, she said âwell we will we have to see if we have someone for you since you want to try on dresses. I donât know if we will have someone. You can go look around if youâd like to.â Extremely rude. So my group and I started to look through dresses, she then came over as we were looking through/picking out dresses and took the dresses away from me and stated very rudely, âyou can only have 3 at a timeâ she then handed me a clip board and said, âthis needs to be filled out before you try anything onâ. Like I was beneath her. Didnât expect that this would be my experience for wedding dress shopping. I also want to preface I know to make an appointment, I was actually just leaving from a bridal appointment and thought Iâd stop by just to look. I also was not planning on buying anything due to the first impression/interaction I had with leigh. Very rude/stand offish and was not going to give this store my business. Wedding dress shopping should not have a person like that in your experience. I was introduced to Alayna and my whole outlook changed. She was very sweet and helpful. She made it fun and actually ended up finding my wedding dress! Never thought I would find something I liked due to the other stores I had been to. Another lady in a black suit who I would assume was the manager also was apart of my experience and was super sweet as well. All and all I would say I still had a good experience and ultimately found my perfect dress due to Alayna and...
