From the beginning to end the experience has been less than acceptable. I walked into our local Men's Warehouse in Canton, Ohio, knowing what I wanted for my wedding for my groom and the groom's men's attire. I was greeted with a worker who clearly didn't care, nor had the experience, to assist me. I simply needed a light grey vest and pants. When she explained all they had was wool, I was hesitant because my experience with the fabric is hot and itchy, and we are getting married on the beach. She did not explain that the fabric was light and breathable. She acted like this was common knowledge, and maybe to some it was, but knowing I didn't know she didn't offer information, rather irritation and rudeness. After her showing us samples, I set up a party for the group. Each member of the groom’s party went in for measurements. Ordered and then shipped. One of the groomsmen pants didn't even make it up over his thighs. This is after the Men's Warehouse employee measured him. Which is the sole responsibility of their job. Now we have to wait to see if it arrives on time (according to the staff), because these articles of clothing were special ordered. Then the Best Man goes in to collect his garments. He had already been fitting, tried on the clothes, and was simply there to pick them up. The employees told him that his were waiting on delivery because they didn't fit. He explained that that was another member of our party. They argued with him, finally gave him his clothes which DID NOT FIT ANYMORE. His pants are very short on him, but with the time frame, we have to deal with it. The other groomsmen's pants had to be ordered as a rental. Or as they suggested, it may be a little different in color but close enough. This is a company that I expect professionalism in expertise to help guide people who have never done this before, and to at the VERY minimum, be able to measure and get the alterations correct on the first time. I will never use your services again. I think that the core service your company offers was supremely lacking, never mind the customer service and intelligence of your staff. Your company was the only, android MAJOR stress of my...
Read moreI now know why they only wanted a review of the initial measurements. The link to submit my comments was expired by the time I got the suit. This is not my first experience with Men's Wearhouse, which I used to love, but was most likely my last.
I Went to the store a month before the wedding for measurements and they told me then that the rental would arrive only two days prior to the date. With my build, I was concerned then about potential fit issues, as I have had a hard time finding clothing all my life. Fortunately I noted this and with uncertainty, they changed their initial recommendation for the pants to a looser pair. I went to check the fit two days before the wedding and apparently no one double checked the order. I found that the pants weren't even there and the under shirt, which required a button extender to fit properly, looked like it had been balled up before placed on the hanger. Was it even washed before I got it? Fortunately, they found a pair of pants that would work better than my green shorts and were able to press the shirt for me, once I asked. The suit jacket was too snug around my shoulders and chest, which made me look like a mannequin and breathing difficult and the shoes were like clown shoes causing me to trip up frequently. I continuously expressed my concerns about the look and feel of the suit as I tried it on, but the spaced out employee just kept telling me that it looked ok. How reassuring. It would be one thing if it was a $99 rental, but this was $240, not much less than buying a suit outright. When I brought this up to the employee, he kept telling me that they sell suits like it, but that they wouldn't match exactly. So close to the date, I was essentially backed into a corner. Most of the wedding party seemed to have a similar experience in some fashion and these were two...
Read moreI was in need of a suit for a wedding. I had visited several other stores in the area before I stopped at this Men's Warehouse in North Canton.
I began looking around in the store. It had been a difficult search up until this time. I am a big guy and not many of the suit coats I tried were fitting.
Elise, the person who initially helped me, was putting away pants and offered to help. I found out that she was not assigned to that area, but she was still willing to help me just the same. She asked the right questions to get me going with things (about what size suit coat/pants, what color...specifically, and the general cost I was thinking). She knew the inventory and picked out a couple examples. She even worked with me and my price range. We narrowed things down with my suit coat. She was dead-on with my pant size.
Through working with Elise, I found out that she had already stayed past when she was to leave by helping me out. I felt bad and did not want for her to stay any longer. She continued to assist me until I finally convinced her to leave.
Before she left, she, in turn, set me up with two of her fellow employees to help me finish out my fitting and find the right pair of shoes. She took the time to make sure everything was O.K In my mind, the worse was over.
Everything that was done for me was appreciated because, to me, it showed that customer service...the customer... still does mean something.
In the end, I was confident with my selections. I was blown away by the willingness of Elise to work with me where most might chose to do...
