I have been taking lessons with Brian the past year and have seen huge improvements in my singing ability, performance, range, and confidence. I came to Brian having close to no singing experience, and he has made discovering my voice an exciting and enjoyful process. He’s very knowledgeable when it comes to building the technique and strength behind developing your voice. Every lesson I feel like I learn something new. I’ve seen steady improvement throughout the year thanks to his guidance, and I feel like I understand many aspects of my voice much better. Brian always listens to whatever concerns or questions I have each lesson and I’ve found his approach to be personal and tailored to my voice and what I want to achieve while cementing good technique. I would say my improvement in developing my vocal tone and style has been huge thanks to Brian, and he’s helped me develop my voice in a direction I wanted but didn’t think was possible. Brian Wiseman. A king of kings! He has truly changed my life. Yes, of course he is a great teacher. I could go on and on about how I was struggling to hit an E4 and now can occasionally get up to that C5! And my biggest critic, me, has noticed an incredible difference in breath control and ability to belt and hold notes without ever getting out of breath or straining. Too good to be true? Only if you don’t put in your own effort and practice the techniques and tips given by Brian. I have had voice coaches before, but things did not stick or I did not notice a change, or maybe I just was not ready yet. Well, let me tell you. I was ready for Brian. Working on my own voice for 2 years prior, I did see improvement, but I saw more improvement in a 30 minute consult with Brian than all that time going at it alone and trying online videos. I was shy to sing as I was getting back to performing at open mics again. Now I am playing my first solo show headlining with all original tunes and releasing my first single, “Mother Rooster.” And more original tunes coming out soon thanks to Brian pushing me to record them and share them with the world. Before meeting Brian, I had tried to take lessons first from another local instructor in Jersey City, but found that scheduling with him was almost impossible and at my first appointment I was no showed.
