Liquors — Local services in Jersey City

The place in JC for (as the name might suggest) liquor. Liquors has all the regular stuff that a majority of folks are looking for on the daily, but they also have so much more. I’ve seen some hard to find whiskies here that I haven’t seen anywhere else in the region. Pricing on the rarer stuff can be a lil high, but when you’re the only one around that has it—who can blame you?

Hennessy is also the most delightful shop cat I’ve ever met, with emerald eyes that will melt your soul. Henny owns the whole block so be respectful.

Chinita (who is actually from Vietnam) is very nice and knowledgeable. She greets, gives people a hard time, and finds the spirits that people need. She’ll even give you the backstory on any of her top shelf collectibles. If you hang around Liquors long enough, you’ll realize Chinita is the glue that holds downtown JC together. Shout out...

The owners/staff are great as well as the selection. Of course Hennessy the cat is the star of the show. She’s always down to keep you company while you select the perfect bottle of wine or case of beer for an event and will happily let you carry her around the store...

I live right next to a different liquor store, but I always shop here. Why? Because of the friendly service, family run business and of course the cat! Also, if they don’t have what you’re looking for, ask! They’ll order it for you....
