Awesome experience, awesome people, awesome purchase. Dan was the most helpful and knowledgeable person I met. He showed me exactly what I was buying, how to set it up and showed me some of his own personal vinyls in his collection. Edit: I went back to this store because the receiver (from the 70’s) had a slight issue. He replaced it with a nice apology and helped me identify the issue. No trouble at all. A few days later I returned to buy some more records and Dan had even remembered me by name. He helped me find all the records I was searching pretty intensely for, cleaned them up and threw in a spare crate to carry the records in. Overall I’d have to say that these guys know how to run a record store. They are incredibly charismatic and know so much about music including how to take care of the equipment. By far if you need to buy anything vinyl or equipment related, go here over any other places. Not only will you feel welcome but you will leave with the confidence that you got the right stuff....
Read moreI cannot begin to describe the environment and caliber of store Dan, Sam, and the rest of the employees have created here. It’s exceptional to see the Greenlaw’s roots pouring into every ounce of this place, knowing the next generation is ready and more than capable of helping with instrument needs; while promoting such a vast array of vinyl, cassette, CD, turntable, and still sheet music options. I left looking forward to my next visit, and you should also!
All records were clearly marked, and you can clearly tell they appreciate vinyl records more than the common collector/retailer. All items were notably reviewed, and I appreciate that they remove the record from the sleeve (in an anti-static outer sleeve also) so assessing condition is a breeze. I have been to dozens of record stores, this was hands down the best with regards to selection, quality, and grading. Not to mention pricing was WELL below Discogs, or any other online retailer. Hats off to you folks, THIS is New England’s...
Read moreOnly the highest of praises for this "hidden gem" of NH! I never leave empty-handed. Huge selection of expertly curated titles available in all formats at very fair/reasonable prices. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable in the products they sell and are life-long collectors and music fans themselves. Inventory is never stagnant, always getting in weekly stock of vinyl, CD's, tapes, instruments, amps, stereo equipment, and even artist merch. They go out of their way to make the in-store experience fun and rewarding - there is so much to look at and browse, you could easily spend a few hours digging through crates and even testing equipment in the spacious audiophile listening room in the back. Their online shipping is top-notch as well, only using whiplash mailers packed with utmost care to insure the item arrives safely. Easily one of the best record shops in New England, a must visit if you...
