My Birthday Road trip with my friend, Mary, and me took us to Lake Geneva. The last time we went there was...30 years ago. Much has changed, but the shopping is great; especially at The Hive! It could be hard to miss because it's downstairs. Just listen for the music and follow it! Once downstairs, we were greeted by 2 crazy ladies who reminded us of...us. The merch is all handmade by artistic women and went from fashion to soaps to crazy good pretzels. If you don't have a wicked sense of humor, don't go. We laughed SO hard at the graphic shirts and gift bags, and tiny bags of f-bombs! The burning incense reminded us of the old head shops on State Street in Madison, as did the music! I'm from California and I love this place so much. There was a particular piece that I couldn't get out of my head that I had seen a few months back. I called the shop and they were able to charge me out and have it ready for pickup for one of my loved ones who lives near Lake geneva. It is a stunning shop with awesome Artisan finds for fair pricing and their customer service is above and beyond. God I love this place. Whenever we make the two hour drive to Lake Geneva, this is a place I have to stop by. Its like unlocking a new world lol. Its filled to the brim with art and creativity.
