What a wonderful speakeasy listening bar concept!
SEVEN:45 is a R&B speakeasy located in the Arts District. Stopping by was pretty easy via Uber. I RSVP'ed ahead of time via Opentable on their site.
Coming in, you enter through a mysterious door with a neon SEVEN:45. As you get to the end of a hallway full of R&B stars, you see the house rules and a digital doorbell. Once you give the password (poke around / ask!), you are greeted inside.
The interior decor is sleek, modern, and definitely has all the wonderful trappings of a great listening bar. Love the turntables/vinyls in the middle of the venue. The bar itself is pretty wide and love the vinyls spaced out all over. There are a few tables as well as an outdoor area that I didn't venture to.
Sitting down, I got to chat with some of the staff including the owner DeAira who is both passionate about her vision for the listening bar as well as a warm and friendly host.
You are asked a few things by the house rules including getting a minimum of 2 drinks. I ended getting an off-the-menu item, the Japanese Denim, and the Whip Appeal. The Japanese Denim is a play on old fashioned using Japanese Plum wine. It was exactly what I was looking for that night - something lighter / smoother/ slightly sweeter. Just delicious and a wonderful start to the night. The Whip Appeal was my last drink of the night - definitely a sweeter drink with a nice little kick with the jalapeño aguardiente. I loved the presentation on all the drinks I saw being made throughout the night.
I didn't end up getting any food (they have a few items to nibble on) and for water, they had water bottles available.
For most of the night, I grooved to a great playlist of R&B songs both familiar and not. The sound quality was terrific/played at a comfortable volume, and they are continuing to improve their hardware. Loved that it felt relaxing yet sophisticated.
Cheers to DeAira, Josh, and the rest of the crew here. It's a great concept and stop that is different than anything else in Vegas. Love that it thrives on community, culture, and great vibes.

Atmosphere: Tied so far with Craft Creamery for a truly discreet speakeasy. Small blank plain door opens to a narrow hallway lined with pictures of artists and filled with softly playing music, ending in another blank door set with a small shielded window. Before pressing the glowing blue buzzer, read the small sign next to it for the entry and conduct requirements. Then, if found worthy, be escorted inside. Bright space, pretty casual, white with pops of tomato red but somehow vibe was chill rather than stark, picture frames promoted Black artists, and a double turntable positioned in front of record-stacked shelves. The wee patio was even more casual, only its wood tables had LP sleeves embedded.
Couldn't say why I chose Low Tide ($18) for what would be my last drink of the night; possibly because it descibed my energy levels at that point. Also requested the Salmon Stuffed Mushrooms ($14) to try to soak up some of the alcohol swirling in my bloodstream.
Low Tide: Smooth, floral, light, creamy. A gentle enough cushion to wind down, but still elevated one's sense of well-being.
Mushrooms: Three giant firm and (good) chewy caps, piled high with clean-tasting fish, stretchy mild cheese, with a hint of a kick. Managed to finish one-half of a cap before surrender; leftovers held up as a post-buzz snack.
Value: Menu prices trended toward the upper-but-not-audacious level, but neither food nor drink was budget in volume or taste.
Service: Warm and welcoming from DeAria (the Creative Director) and Shay (sp?).

Read moreLong review but If you're a r&b fan you need to come here. As a local and huge r&b girlie I've complained about not having a place to go to and listen to r&b. Seven:45 is the answer I've been looking for for years.
The atmosphere is modern, minimalistic but cozy. Dim lighting sets the tone. Very very small - maybe 8 tables, 6 bar seats inside total so super intimate but it was comfortable. The vinyl collection is massive and the bar is beautiful. Bathrooms are clean!!! Music is JUST RIGHT - the volume level, the song selection, the sound. Everyone in there was chatting it up and could still hear the music.
Service was amazing. Waitresses and the owner were walking around and consistently attentive. Mom was so much fun to talk to. She truly lights up the room.
The drinks were SO GOOD. Fyi it's a 2 drink minimum, at around $15-$18 a pop. I got the Cranes In The Sky (blueberry lemonade mix) first and the Spanish Joint (dusse + wine, sangria like drink) second. The second drink was abundant and strong, the first one was tastier and sweeter. Didn't get any of the small plates.
Sidenote whoever came up with the hallway/entry track is genius. I really loved it - a mix of different songs that mention 7:45 in their lyrics. It was unique and fun.
I will 100% be back. We spent almost 3 hrs in here and had no idea the time went by so fast. Such a great establishment. I look forward to coming here more frequently. Thank you for bringing a r&b lounge to Vegas. It...
