Tonight I saw the Black Magic Live show and did not enjoy it. The men were great but there were only 6 of them for a tiny venue filled with over 70 guests. The seating was similar to the seats you see at a large scale business convention and were not comfortable. The show started an hour after it was supposed to and the MC did not control the audience and was consistently talked over making it hard to hear the performers and MC. The MC talked so much and did not allow the dancers to freestyle by directing them what to do. The āshowā which is generous for a name was not a performance at all. It was more of a male strip club vibe. If I wanted that I wouldāve gone to that type of venue. The vip tickets are a rip off as everyone has the same view and there is no enforced masked policy and the floors were sticky & wet. The stage and some of the costumes were poorly designed and there was no organization or flow in themes.
Many patrons live streamed the show or took videos/many photos during the event so those behind them were unable to enjoy the show because there view was limited (my experience). The dancing was subpar at best and it seemed like the venue and mc was more focused on getting money through having the guests throw dollars or buy expensive dances than actually providing an immersive performance or show. I expected much better since the MC & creator worked on the movie Chocolate city, which this is based off of. The MC said itās supposed to be a black version of Magic Mike. It was nowhere near that.
As much as I support black-owned businesses I donāt recommend this show. You are better off seeing the more well...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām in Vegas just on a getaway. My sister wanted to go see some dancer. So I thought this would be the place to go. We went last night which was a Tuesday. The sold VIP tickets. First letās talk about that itās no way in the world this place should be selling VIP anything itās a table just like the rest of the club in my opion it just gets you close to the stage. It was only 10 women there including us. They sold glow sticks that you had to buy for the dancer to come over to you: So let me say this they didnāt come over to us and I left with my $200 in $1 bills. The glow sticks were being sold for $19. You can get them from the dollar store for$1.25 for a pack of 5. So letās start with the food I paid $52 for 1 piece of fish a scoop of Mac and cheese with greens and 2 chicken wings that also came with the same sides. High way robbery and also it was served in a white styrofoam tray. They could have at least put it on some damn plates. Truthfully anyone that had food money should be refunded. I guess people are not in the business to provide an excellent service, but to just get paid. You donāt have to rob people at least be fair in the service thatās being provided. Now letās get to the dancer i believe they probably put forth more effort when the club is full. They did an half ass job in my opinion. Just my opinion during the week the rates need to cheaper and they need to give me half my damn money backš¤£š¤£š¤£ They should of been paying me to come inside. My thoughts perhaps if your going to go pay at the door to make sure itās worth your time and eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHmmmm... the documentary sent me here.. I was contemplating setting up a girl's trip and attending the show. HOWEVER, after reading the responses from the owner to the patrons who were less than satisfied with their experience, I'm hesitant to proceed. That speaks volumes to me. That being said, I do wish the show continued success, and hope that the owner can be a little more compassionate in the future to those spending their hard earned money even if it means taking some harsh criticism. Be well!
Ms. Eurika My negative review was not of the show. As I stated in my original post, my review was of some of the RESPONSES you gave to people that were dissatisfied with their experience at your show. Honestly, reading the way you spoke to those women is what was disheartening if that's the term we are going to throw around. I simply stated that your grossly unprofessional personal insults was what made me HESITANT to purchase tickets, not that I would not ever come . I actually wished the show continued success and I love the foundation that you've built! Sadly, I think you missed the point. If I ever do come, I hope to have one of the 5 star experiences I read about, and not the 1 star experiences because it seems abundantly clear that you have an axe to grind with patrons who have a less than desirable experience at your show. Instead of an apology for their bad experiences, they can fully expect to be personally insulted. Thank you for reading and taking the...
