Grocery stores, for me, are pick-and-choose propositions. Some have more to offer than others in certain areas, and it all comes down to value perception. What I like about Busch's is limited. Forget the produce. Unconscionably high prices. Limited selection. Recently, I paid five bucks-plus for a regular bunch of radishes I couldn't find a price for on the display shelves. Fool me once. Ditto where the seafood's concerned, generally speaking. I know prices are sky-high everywhere, but they seem stratospheric here. On the bright side, Busch's pork pleases me. I've found thick-cut, bone in chops behind the butcher counter at a relative bargain, and I've also spied cuts of lamb and beef at better-than-market pricing in recent months. And ribs. And chicken. And odds and end-cut pieces of quality cod here and there. Where service is concerned, I've found it to be quick and courteous behind the butcher, bakery, and deli counters. Nice when you need it. But again, it tends to come at a premium. I paid $13 for two, 1/2-inch slices of turkey breast once. That won't happen again. Will I ever fill a whole grocery cart shopping at Busch's? With food prices going to hell in a...
Read moreAfter terrible experiences at two different Kroger stores during the pandemic, we decided to give Livonia Busch's a try. This Busch's store still manages to make you feel welcomed and wanted despite the current situation. Of course while people are still wearing masks, etc., the atmosphere is not tense here and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The store is clean and always looks perfectly arranged. Stock items like TP and paper towel came in almost immediately and have been available the times we visited. There is also a place where you can order coffee here (but of course it is to go). Employees are always busy doing something and you never see anyone just standing around. The meat and seafood counter is pristine. If you like sushi, it is excellent and in my opinion, not badly priced. Many different beers and wines to explore as well. It's a great probability because of our experiences that we will not be going back to Kroger stores. Kroger should check their attitudes towards people. This Busch's is a keeper and is definitely...
Read moreI called this store to inform them that they have the wrong number again. (I've let them know this 3 other seperate times because I tried to do the right thing)They've called 5 or 6 times over the last several months about orders. I dont live anywhere even remotely close to them! When I called today, again to try and correct THEIR ISSUE ON RECORD KEEPING I was put on hold for 10 minutes and transferred around to different locations just to finally be told that the person I am trying to reach is on lunch. Then that service rep gets an attitude with ME , like I am wasting his time, for asking to take my number down and maybe fix the issue this time. I hope it is fixed, because another call after this seems like harassment at this point. Call me Karen or whatever, but when I'm trying for the 4th time to let your store know that they have the wrong number again, for whatever account uses these people, I dont think thats a me problem. To me that seems like a lazy associate that doesn't want to check records and fix an...
