Shopped at the store and they finally had their mens clothes section in decent looking shape. I shop here alot and I found 3 pairs of nike shorts sized 4xl (all the same short) except different colored. (one black, one white, one blue. The black were red priced $22. The blue $12 and the white $25. So I took the 2 cheaper ones to the counter and asked why they would be different? The cashier said he didn't know and when the merch team has no hard tag they will put stickers right on the clothes (the blue pair for $12 qnd had no hard tag..just on the wasit band). So I told them if all were $12 I'd take them all of course but if but if not I'd still take the 2 and my other items. A young lady who was working in mens came for a price check and said we may have to ring them all at $22. And I asked why wouldn't you just honor the tag? I didn't switch them. and the cashier saif.."yea we should just honor the tag". so they called for "Donna" I'm assuming a manager on duty who came to about the front entrance and the woman working in mens clothes told her to stay there and went there and had a private conversation out of earshot with her. I was not introduced or acknowledged by this woman at all since she did not come over. And then the woman came back and said yes we have to do them both at $22. And I told them what I thought of that customer serivce and asked why they won't just honor the price and she said "this is what I was told" and I told them they could keep everything. While admittedly I was trying to see if all would be $12 I was also addressing the fact that they were all different prices and letting them know of the error at the same time having worked retail myself. I did not switch the tags..or change any prices. The ironic thing is if I kept my mouth shut I would have gotten them all at the price marked on the tag....this store should have honored at least the price on the tag which I was prepared to spend the money on but to be charged more is ridiculous. they can keep their items. I'm not an entitled person nor a "Karen" but when something is wrong, it's wrong. Any decent manager knows you don't do that to any customer when the fault is clearly on the...
Read morewe went to gabes in altoona pa yesterday to start a layaway. After over an hour of shopping and 45 mins of standing in line, I get up to the register for them to tell me server is down and they cant do anything. (Would of been nice if they would of let customers know over the loud speaker or something), a lot of people were pissed because rewards or nothing was working! Everyone knows how long and annoying the line is over there anyways....So I asked to keep my stuff in kart and come back when it was working, they told me they can hold for 24 hours. They asked for my name and number and had me set pieves of paper o the cart. I asked if they could call me when they were up and running and she goes "we dont have time for that".. okay but it was okay for me to waste 2.5 hours in your syore for nothing but cant take literally 2 minutes to call me to say its working..Well I've been trying to call past 30 minutes now and it's just a busy line, just beeps. Is there a way I can actually get thru to someone?? We live an hour away and I'm gonna be even more irritated if we drag our 5 kids out, drive the whole way over there just to get told it's still not working.. I don't know if they have their phones turned off or what!!!! So aggravated. It was also a huge mess. You think you're getting a good deal on something and then when you get up to the register, they tell you they need to do a price check and then they end up charging you double what the price tag was on the item you wanted to buy! Either they need to stop ripping people off or they need to put the correct price tags on their items instead of trying to trick people into paying more for something that shouldn't cost that much at a discount store! There's a reason why those products are at that store! It's because no one else wanted them and they are last year's or even the year before yours fashions! And besides who wants to stand at a register for 20 minutes why they do price checks on every item that you go to purchase! I am never shopping there again!
