6th Street Market — Local services in Los Angeles

In California, convenience stores can charge sales tax on purchases, but they cannot add a separate fee or surcharge specifically for using a credit card. This means the tax is included in the total price displayed, and businesses can't charge an additional fee on top of the listed price for credit card transactions.

I don't appreciate paying high prices and then being hit with a 50 cent surcharge it's not lawful to do this ...

And we won't mention under the register either ..

This place is always complaining about it's rent is due wth does that have to do with running a clean lawful business..

You either treat us fair or some legal action is coming soon..

Your charging more than the man that brought this store alive..

It's disappointing that this is the case the man that started this store was a honorable man. Did good business and cared bout his regulars..

I'm sad writting this but he never did wth yall are doing..

A little bit of everything can be found here. They have a nice selection of grocery products that range from generic brands to more high end brands. You can find supplies for the bathroom and kitchen. Alcohol, tobacco and the lotto are sold here. The prices are a little more expensive for the convenience of the store and also the location being right in the middle of the Historic core. I like their fresh cut fruit. The ladies who work there are super nice. Once the watermelon wasn’t going to last more than a day and so she gave me a discount on the fruit. You might luck out on street parking out front but it’s more of a local...

I always call this place my little market away from my home market. Very convenient place to buy fruit, snacks & house hold goods when needed. It is very conveniently located by my bus stop heading home. Robert the store counter clerk & most likely the proprietor is very courteous & friendly. I always have a pleasant experience however; I have to contend occasionally with the Zombies aka homeless individuals now and than who are either strung out with that zombie stare or panhandlers who frequent the area.
