I've always wanted to make a ring with my husband, so I made an appointment on their website. There was a $105 deposit. We got plain silver bands, so the total cost for the pair was $250.

The store is small, but the decoration is simple and bright, which makes it comfortable to look at and good for taking pictures. The owner of the store taught us how to make the rings, and the more we polished them, the brighter they became. It gave us a great sense of accomplishment! There are ready-made molds, so you just need to practice the process. Even if you're not very flexible, you'll be able to do it.

What I really liked is that she took a picture of each customer's ring and let us sign it. We could also write down what we wanted to say to each other, and then she would send the rings home for us.

Instruction for silver clay ring making was rushed and not well thought out. The instructor did not give an overview of the process so making the ring was very confusing. We chose stones and showed the instructor and she said they were ok. It was only after they had been placed on the clay that she said they were too big. No explanation of beveling or the purpose of it. One of the stones fell out after I got the ring back and the instructor denied a refund. She offered to fix it if I brought it back in but who has the time. The issue was with the lack of instruction so any “fixing” of the ring would have not fixed the underlaying issue which was that the clay was not sufficient to support the stone.
