Finally came here after walking past it for years, and was so thoroughly pleasantly surprised.
First of all the service I received was really great. I informed the man named Sumit that i had never been there before and he happily walked me thru the flavors and offered samples of each. He was very generous and kind.
Now for the flavors in order from least favorite to the best.
#4. Firstly the black pepper chicken is clearly for the mild ⦠more .. Americanized palettes for those people seeking less spicier dishes. It is creamy and has a savory mild flavor.
#3. The chicken tikka masala was creamy, smooth savory and sweet. Its Also very mild. More on the sweet than savory side.
#2. The chicken clove - reminded me of that distinct flavor that you only can get from Indian dishes. Very savory. Not really sweet. It was very flavorful. If I had to pick a #2 this would be it. Easily.
1 flavor ā- The chicken curry - had the perfect spice level if you like spicy food. It was Very savory and flavorful. (I never order chicken curry, I always get tikka masala) but of all the samples this was the best to me. I ended up getting this.
I also got cheese naan with garlic and it was exactly that. Very cheesy and tasty.
He also creates daily specials (a new dish everyday) and on this day the potatoes were literally so good. Some of the best potatoes Iāve ever had.
Also I think itās great that each curry comes with its own rice. Most places you have to buy it separately. So itās a reasonable price for the amount of curry and rice you get. And if youāre torn and canāt choose between 2 or even 3 sauces, he has combos so you can pick multiple without breaking the bank. Def worth trying! I would def come back any time Iām downtown and...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a food enthusiast, when youāre going for Indian food (or any food of another culture) you have to ask yourself if you want the authentic version, or the version abominably bastardized to suit the McDonaldized, deprived American palate. If youāve determined that you want the authentic version at a reasonable cost, Curry Boys is for you. The owners and chefs have one thing you can count on: integrity; and youāll taste itānoāyouāll experience it in your being. They will not skimp out on ingredients, they refuse to cut corners just to increase profits, and they exist on Spring street, whether you come or not, unabashedly celebrating Indian culture and flavors. Go ahead. Get a 3-item box. Now, pay attention. Those are real, robust, high quality spices and ingredients, and they layer into your palate, wave after wave. Thatās what all Indian food should be, but itās rare in America. The service is excellent, they will let you sample, the flavors are truly beautiful, the warmth exuding from the owners is charming, and the integrity is beaming. I would say āgo support this family owned restaurantā, but honestly, thatās silly in this case. Go support yourself by treating yourself to a meal from Curry Boys. You will leave knowing you discovered a true Los...
