Alexandria Hotel — Local services in Los Angeles

I have lived here for 1 year and 1 month. I am on a fixed income. I really like living here. Everything is centrally located. My single is small, currently on the waiting list for a 1 bedroom. The building is historic dating back to 1906....Many people mention problems with roaches..If you don't want roaches..keep your apt. Clean, don't leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight..and have a regiment where you spray regularly for bugs. I do this once a week with black Flag.. If you drop food on the Floor . Clean it up. I have no problems with bugs. The people who live here are very eclectic and come from many walks of life, Deal with it! Building has great maintenance staff..Things are fixed immediately. Great cleaning staff that clean every floor daily. The one negative. Pershing Square Metro Station is half a block away..there is some homeless traffic between the subway station to the homeless encampments down on Skid Row. I don't bother them and they don't bother me! Many people have mention that they don't allow homeless people in the building as a negative. 24 hour security is doing a great job! I liked it at first but over the weekend of New year's I was robbed security has cameras facing my door my Roku was taken and a big black basket with other items in it but claims it couldn't be seen on camera. Since then management has changed to a new company and security company changed. My mental health is not good due to thinking someone has been here when I leave. I wasn't offered a different place at their other properties or lock change. This building has Lamp mental health clients here and another program people here need supportive housing it's very clean in the hallways. And not a lot of activity as was 20 yrs.ago. but the loud music in front at night...

I was greeted with a courteous staff immediately upon my entrance. In the management / leasing office Ms. Jahmean was most accommodating, polite, and attentive in assisting with getting my necessary documents together. Above ALL, her customer service was absolutely impeccable. The Rosslyn Lofts need to learn proper business etiquette from the Alexandria. I've worked in retail sales management for 25+ years, & any business doesn't turn customers away but Rosslyn Lofts did... don't...
