Le Labo isn’t just a store—it’s a ritual. Tucked into the creative undercurrent of Venice Beach, this space offers more than luxury perfume; it delivers a sensorial experience that slows you down and reconnects you with the art of fragrance.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was hit with a sense of grounded elegance. Industrial meets apothecary. Wood beams, tiled walls, and exposed pipes evoke an old-world charm wrapped in modern edge. The visual texture of the place mirrors the complexity of its scents—layered, raw, and intentional. You’re not rushed here. Instead, you’re invited to explore.
The staff? Present but not pushy. Helpful, informed, and respectful of personal space. They allowed me to move intuitively through the shop, pausing where I needed, testing when I felt moved, and returning to pieces that spoke to something deeper in me. Santal 33, Rose 31, and Fleur d’Oranger 27 were among the offerings that stood out—not just for their scent profiles, but for the way they lingered on the skin and in the memory.
And then there’s the photobooth—yes, an actual photobooth plastered with strips of people’s memories. It doesn’t feel gimmicky—it feels personal, like the scent of a lover on a favorite shirt.
I love how they display the oils and base materials on clean black shelving like sacred objects. There’s no rush to impress here. They already know what they’ve got, and if you’re paying attention, you will too.
What sealed it for me was the personal label on the fragrance bottle—printed fresh when you buy, dated and named. It feels like you’re bottling a moment in time, customized to your story.
Le Labo doesn’t just sell fragrance—they distill memory. And when a scent can make you feel something before you even know what it is? That’s alchemy. This place understands that deeply.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for more than just a perfume—you’re looking for something that...
Read moreI’m a former Estée Lauder Corporate employee and have been to every Le Labo store in LA. This location is HORRIBLE!!!! I went in this past October, just before leaving the company with the intention of dropping a lot of $$ on my final employee purchase. It was a Saturday , the store was FULL of customers and there were 5 employees (3 sitting behind the cash wrap on their phones and the other 2 deeply engaged in a personal conversation. None of the customers were being attended to and I reluctantly interrupted their interaction to ask for assistance. The environment was very unwelcoming and I couldn’t escape quickly enough. This resulted in my intended 8 item purchase consisting of 1 deodorant. Upon being brought to the cash wrap, one of the female employees (assuming was the manager) was less than enthusiastic about her job….. even after the guy acknowledged that I was an Estee employee. I now work for a competitor and have to say, Le Labo needs to adjust their service strategy or they won’t survive the current retail landscape. It appears that my review is echoing the same sentiment as others. Great brand but recommend buying online or a...
Read moreMy husband and I recently spent a long weekend in Santa Monica to celebrate our 40th anniversary. I was excited to discover there was a Le Labo in Venice as I'd been wanting to try out these scents I'd been hearing so much about! We walked in and were hit with the most delicious scents and greeted warmly by Quincy. She asked if we'd ever been in before and explained some background on the brand when we said we were newbies. She then asked us some questions about things we liked/disliked and also what sort of feeling we wanted when we wore a fragrance. After some patient guidance and lots of sniffing, we settled on two we loved. My hubby got the Vetiver 46 and I got the Lys 41 because it made me feel like I was smelling my wedding bouquet. After loading us up with samples for the hotel we were staying in, she invited us to come back the next time we're in town. Such a memorable anniversary and the perfect scents to take us back to this weekend...
