To prepare for our daughter's wedding, we visited the Los Angeles Original Flower Mart to get an idea of the flower arrangement for the wedding.

The Original Los Angeles Flower Mart is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves flowers and plants. As one of the largest wholesale flower markets in the United States, it offers a vast selection of fresh-cut flowers, potted plants, and floral accessories that will satisfy even the most discerning florist or gardener.

The flower mart has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s, when a group of flower growers came together to create a centralized marketplace for their products. Today, the market spans over 50,000 square feet and is home to over 30 vendors who sell everything from classic roses to exotic orchids.

Walking through the market is an experience in itself, as the colorful blooms and fragrant scents are sure to delight your senses. Whether you're looking to purchase flowers for a special occasion or simply want to admire the beauty of nature, the Original Los Angeles Flower Mart is a feast for the eyes.

In addition to its impressive selection of flowers, the market also offers a range of floral supplies and tools, including vases, floral foam, and ribbons. And if you're feeling hungry or thirsty after all that shopping, there are several cafes and food trucks on site that serve up tasty bites and...

I came looking for a double orchid lei for my friend's graduation and luckily stumbled upon Liberty flowers as my first stop. The guy that works there, Julio, speaks English and patiently explained to me how to keep the lei: a week in the house if fresh, otherwise stored with vegetables (not on the top shelf fridge otherwise petals will burn), will whither within a few hours in the sun. I told him I'd be bussing and worried about sun exposure so he kindly wrapped my purchase in paper to avoid sunlight.

As i walked around the rest of the warehouse, i realized he gave me the best deal (and the best service).

Deets: Liberty stall, located on NE corner on the market warehouse

Cost: $25 for orchid lei including box, packed fresh same morning

Hours: 5 am - 4 pm

Tip: I arrived around 11 am on a Tuesday and he only had two (2) boxes of double orchid leis so they might have low inventory. Just try...

The Original Los Angeles Flower Market is an incredible spot if you love flowers or want to experience something unique in the city. The variety is unmatched, from fresh roses and orchids to seasonal greens and specialty blooms you don’t usually see in regular shops. Prices are fair, especially if you’re buying in bulk, and the quality is always fresh.

The market has a great energy early in the morning when florists, event planners, and everyday shoppers are all picking through the stalls. Parking is straightforward, and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable, often giving tips on care and arrangement.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, buying for a business, or simply picking up something beautiful for your home, this market is worth the visit. It’s one of those Los Angeles experiences that feels both local and world-class. Highly...
