Do Not Rent Here – The Leasing Office and Towing Company Are Involved in a Money Grab I’ve been living here for 4 months, and while things started off well, it’s become clear that the management is more focused on making money than on properly taking care of the residents or our property. The leasing office is getting paid by residents to manage and maintain the property, but they clearly are not doing their job. I pay for parking each month, yet it’s nearly impossible to find an available spot, especially if you arrive home after 9PM. The situation is so bad that you’re forced to either give your car to valet to let them legally park at the "No park any time" spot , or do it yourself on the anonymous no notice spot and pay the apartment& towing company $500. That’s exactly what happened to me. One night, I parked my car in a space near the wall, ensuring it wasn’t blocking anything. Still, it was towed without warning. When I asked the front desk about the towing, the staff was unhelpful, and the valet explained that my spot might have been blocking traffic—but I found another car parked close to the opposite “no parking” wall by the valet. The most frustrating part? When I paid the $514 towing fee and returned, the valet had parked another car in the exact same spot where my car was towed from—against a wall with no sign. If the reason why the valet can park there is because they can move the car, then why didn’t the apartment even tried to call me? Instead, they contact the towing company at 6:30 AM on Sunday—an inconvenient time for any hard-working resident to be notified or take action. It’s clear the parking policies are inconsistent, unfair, and designed to make money, not to ensure resident safety or convenience. To make matters worse, the towing company caused damage to my vehicle, and when I inquired about how much they pay the apartment complex for each tow, the staff went silent. Clearly, there’s a financial arrangement between the leasing office and the towing company, which means residents are being exploited. If the property cares a little about the residents, they won’t cooperate with such a brutal towing company. Bottom line: This apartment complex is overselling parking spaces and is more interested in creating revenue by towing cars than in taking care of its residents. If you want to avoid having your car towed without notice and facing unhelpful staff and exorbitant fees, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. My previous review is underline, ironically. ————————————————————— This is my third week living at Trademark, and everything has gone smoothly since I moved in. First and foremost, I'd like to express my appreciation and compliments to my leasing agent, Alice. She has been incredibly reliable and welcoming throughout the process. Before moving to LA, I was living outside Southern California, so I relied on Alice to help me with a virtual tour. She was patient and attentive, even when the unit I initially wanted was leased before my tour. Alice went above and beyond, walking from one level to another to show me various units in detail. Thanks to her efforts, I made the decision to move into this sweet home immediately after the tour. The shared spaces are clean and well-maintained, and my apartment is equipped with a nice washer/dryer, a spacious open kitchen, and ample storage. The package service is efficient, and there’s plenty of parking. However, it can be a bit confusing to find the elevator in the underground parking lot, especially since Trademark shares the space with a neighboring apartment. With limited signage, I mistakenly took the wrong elevator a few times, but I’ve since figured it out. Overall, my experience at Trademark has been great, and I’m very satisfied with my decision to move here after the virtual tour with Alice.

UPDATE: Have stayed here now several times since my first review. Staff and residents are all very friendly. Enjoyed the common areas now all open. The pool being my favorite hang out. Cooking on the grills and eating at tables on patio area outside pool. I may not be in position to leave NH and live here yet but so happy my Son does. Everything you need is within walking distance, plus subway, train and bus stations close to take you to beaches or other desirable locations. There is a huge parking garage under the building as well. "ORIGINAL POST" got to tour of several floor plans of studios, 1, and 2 bedrooms at DTLA trademark. Thank you Mark for taking your lunch break to do this for me.Beautiful welcoming areas as you make your way to apts.I can definitely see myself living here. Very impressed with layouts and thought that went into storage/flow of apts etc, appliances were great.Living space was better in some than others but definitely something for everyone's liking. I like bigger living space and smaller bedrooms. I was unable to see some common areas due to covid but from windows could see pool area, an awesome grill area for tenants use. Thinking of moving from NH and this building is at the top of my list.

I moved out of my studio unit and was really shocked that I barely got anything back, even though I cleaned the apartment super thoroughly, patched and painted the walls, and documented everything with photos and videos. They charged me over $600 for cleaning, wall/paint repairs, and even a random insurance fee for June—even though I moved out in May. I’ve always gotten like 90–100% of my deposit back in the past, so I’m kind of confused and frustrated. I would urge anyone considering this place to be very cautious—especially when it comes to the move-out process. The lack of transparency and surprise charges left a really bad impression.

We relocated to Los Angeles at the beginning of this year, and we had a great experience with Trademark, which promoted us to write this review. We had the pleasure of working with a gentleman named James Plum from the leasing team, who was very accommodating during the apartment selection process. Relocations are hard enough as it is, and there are many challenges in a new city to overcome, but James made our relocation a lot easier to handle. His level of professionalism and the care he demonstrated was impressive - and it made us feel very welcomed.

James was there for us every step of the way during AND after the leasing process. He began by giving us a very detailed tour of 6 units with different floor plans and locations in the building. James is truly one of the most talented and genuine leasing professionals we have worked with!

We had a tight move in schedule, with less a week to complete our rental application before moving in. James was aware of our situation, and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. He pushed our application for approval very efficiently and then sent us the lease to sign ahead of time. His extra effort taking responsibility for getting our application approved rapidly made all the difference. On the day of our arrival James was already waiting for us, and arranged a loading bay for our truck, reserved a moving elevator and handed the keys to us in person. The whole move-in process was very smooth, efficient and detail-oriented. We were so lucky to be able to work with James.

James really goes out of his way to make sure residents are happy by checking-in and giving out a lot of vouchers for us to experience in this new city for us. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy and content with our future home. He is always available by phone and email. We are grateful that Trademark has such an excellent leasing team professional such as James Plum!

The Trademark building itself is a luxury apartment building with beautiful, spacious apartments, some amazing amenities, and the best service we have encountered. The attention to detail is apparent throughout the building. The interiors are modern, beautifully designed, and always kept impeccably clean. The building management goes well out of their way to give you a true luxury experience. If you are reading this review, save yourself the time and visit Trademark simply for the reason of superior apartments and the BEST team of people you could ask for. I strongly recommend speaking with James Plum.

We'd like to to give a personal shout out and warm THANK YOU...

I met with James for a tour of the property and by the end of it, I was sure that I wanted to move to the Trademark. James was very professional and took his time to give me a tour of the building and all of the beautiful amenities. The building itself is brand new and gorgeous! The Trademark checks all the boxes for me and even exceeded my expectations.

The Trademark has all the best in amenities and comfort that you could hope for. A beautiful mailroom with a Parcel locker system for receiving packages, and even includes refrigerated units for fresh food delivery. The clubhouse is amazing and very well decorated and even includes a pool table. That leads out to the pool area that is spectacular to say the least. It all looks more like a 5 star resort than an apartment building in the middle of DTLA. The gym has all the latest workout equipment and Trademark even offers a towel service. Pictures don't really do the pool area justice, you have to see it to really appreciate it. The rooftop deck is really amazing too with plenty of space to lounge, great views, outdoor televisons and it even has a dog area to walk your dog!

James was very patient with all my questions and had an answer for every one. He showed me two different apartments/floor plans, each with it's own unique layout. He then gave me a tour of the model which really helped to envision the space furnished. At no point did my tour feel rushed and James really took the time to help me decide which apartment would be best for me.

I have looked at other apartment buildings in the DTLA area and honestly for what you get at the Trademark, the lease prices are incrediblly reasonable and I didn't find any other building that even came close, which is why I submitted an application for my apartment on the spot.

Since my tour, Kristen has been very helpful as well with my application, and I get a sense that the entire staff is very committed to proving excellent service and really, what more could you ask for?

I'm very excited to move in and to be able to call the Trademark,...
