Update: My mom wound up having breast cancer.
This is for the entire UCLA mammogram imaging system. My mom needs to get a diagnostic mammogram because she has a ping pong sized lump in her breast. Her doctor put in a STAT order at the beginning of June. She can't get a mammogram at any of the UCLA locations until the end of Sept. Wtaf? I hope she doesn't have breast cancer or she is totally screwed.
I have Kaiser and it took me a week to get a regular mammogram. My previous insurance I went to Tower Imaging. Again, never longer than a week or two to get in. What the hell is wrong with UCLA? A 3 1/2 month wait for a diagnostic mammogram? This is totally unacceptable.
I am looking to move my mom to another provider because UCLA is so horrendous. Don't even get me started on the dermatology dept. She can't get an appt...
Read moreAfter 12 transfers I got to a "scheduler" in this department. I had questions about the anesthetic that is used for biopsies. The person on the phone was perhaps the most inept person I've ever spoken to. I was told to try to walk into any UCLA to ask them this question. I asked "is this because the doctor's offices dont have phones?!" I get a scheduler does not have all the info, but the inability to obtain the information or connect me to someone who can discuss life threatening allergic reactions to common treatments is just unacceptable. I will be taking my care elsewhere and regret having lost 2 hours of my life to the winding web of phone transfers only to get to an incompetent scheduler. 0 stars. Thanks for exemplifying the absolute worst of the healthcare...
Read moreHorrible service and a rude receptionist with little care for patients, UCLA sends a message to verify the appt. time and date and they send the wrong information - Time was incorrect. I showed the message to the receptionist and she said "I don't know who sends those messages, I don't" SMH. Instead of acknowledging their system is broken and trying to get me seen since i was 8 minutes late she refused to do anything other than reschedule my appt. I expected a lot better service and care from UCLA. I didnt want to believe the other experiences/reviews but the staff here proved they lack customer service skills...
