I have never received worse preliminary treatment from ANY medical practitioner than I have with the UCLA Bowyer Oncology Center. I have been calling their reception phone line for over a week, trying to make an appointment for a Reclast infusion that was scheduled by my UCLA doctor over three weeks ago. The receptionists take all of my information and then I don't receive a call back even though I've been repeatedly told that I will hear back within 24-48 hours. I have left multiple messages for the manager and again no response. Aside from being incredibly rude, this is so unprofessional to not give a patient a call back, even if it's only to say that there will be a delay. While Reclast is probably perceived as not as "immediate" a concern as other oncology/cancer related treatments, I certainly hope this team is more responsive to its...
Read moreI got badly abused by one of the nurses here. I've had over 500 nurses in my life, and almost every one was an Angel. This one wasn't.
When I reported it, they said they would handle it... then they set me up with that same Nurse the next time I came in. Pure PTSD horror! They did it again after that, and I realized they were inept.
When things go wrong, they don't take you seriously. They pretend to care, but they're just worried about their own liability. Their scheduling department is a nightmare. They don't have a great system and it will hurt you eventually.
