Aritzia — Local services in Los Angeles

Let me just start by saying I love Aritzia! I shop here frequently but my experience today just ruined that for me. I vow to never shop here again.

I went into the store with a friend browsing around when a worker comes up to us (her was was Tia) I ask her where I can find a dress that is on a mannequin and she says she will have to grab my size from the back. Then says I'll grab you a medium to try on, cause your curvy. My face went blank and I turn away from her and started to ignore her. (fighting back tears lol) She then can tell that I was extremely turned off by this comment and THEN proceeds to tell me that a medium would fit be best bc I have wide hips and again I start to walk away and ignore her. After this I had to leave the store bc I was holding back tears.

As someone who as struggled with an eating disorder there are so many things wrong with this. As a sales associate please don't say the customers size until they ask you for your opinion or they have already said it. Also not everyone wants to be called curvy, thin, etc. if I'm not asking you something about my body lets not voluntarily say something about it.

I am not one to leave bad reviews but this is just so out of pocket and hope the right person at Aritzia sees this. I will never be...

Love Aritzia! Love their clothes just hate this branch. If you need any attention/help you won’t get it here. I went to exchange a pair of pants and it took about 15 minutes to get anyone’s attention. Finally, the employee was very rigid and unhelpful. Didn’t even check the other branches because she said “it’s sold out in a size 2 everywhere sorry” “NEXT?” When I went online I found it in a different size literally at the Westfield century city mall branch….

Anyway. It’s fine if you wanna browse but if you have exchanges / issues with size / order queries you’re better off with their online...

I never even write reviews for stores but Lauren (blonde hair) really went above and beyond. I was mostly just looking for a pair of jeans but when I got to the dressing room she said she had thrown in a few things. Beautiful pieces I hadn't even noticed in store. I ended up getting stuff for my bday dinner and other outfits that for the first time in a long time, made me feel good about my body. I needed to switch out alot of sizes and asked her for some different types of outfit ideas and she was so sweet, patient, and helpful. Will...
