Kohl's — Local services in McDonough

Please don’t shop at this Location if you’re African American or any brown skinned person. I have been shopping here for years and as of recently I was targeted and watched in toy section (of all places) after returning an item to Amazon. I walked to the toy section where I was the only one there, no employees or shoppers in sight. After about ten minutes of me looking around two white employees (one male and one female) came to the toy section and stood within arms reach of me just standing there just watching me. I tried to engage in conversation with the employee because his presence was uncomfortable and he responded with one word answers… not friendly or helpful at all just standing there watching me shop I decided to walk away from the section because it was very overwhelming and obvious what was going on and that’s when I noticed the second employee in the toy section.. she asked if she could help and I explained I was already made uncomfortable. I went to ask for the store manager (Michael King) and he was unavailable so another manager “(Shar)” came out. I explained what just happened and she could care less. The fact that she was African American herself I thought she would understand or sympathize with how I felt. Especially since I was in tears in front of her. Her facial expression lacked concern her tone of voice was very dismissive and rushed. Another shopper interrupted our conversation and told me to call corporate because she doesn’t care. I called corporate with my experience and Michael King emailed me. I called him the following day and was told he would look into the situation. I never received a call back or an apology for my experience at this store. It’s been weeks. Please save yourself the trouble and drive a little farther as Kohls in McDonough is not what it used to be. This Kohls WILL NOT get a dime out of me or my family this holiday season. #donotshophere #endracism #its2022...

I love Kohls. I like the merchandise they have in their stores and I love their sales. And when you can receive kohls cash from shopping there, it makes the incentive to shop there greater for me. But I ordered online from kohls and had it delivered to the store near me for pickup bc i didn't want to have to be out in traffic and waiting in long lines this holiday season. So i received my e-mail and responded to it that i was on my way to pick up my purchases. I had worked 10 hours this day and was very tired. I went to customer service where pick up is located and there was one employee there at the register assisting a customer. So I'm thinking ok good, only be a few minutes and I'll be on my way. 35 minutes later, and after watching several employees come and go behind the counter without addressing me or my needs, I'm still standing behind one customer that has been at the counter this whole time being assisted by the one employee there. This customer was attempting to get a refund on some items she had purchased or not purchased there. So finally one of the employees who had come and gone behind this counter 3times while i was standing there finally asked if someone was helping me. And of course my response was"no". So after this employee attempting to find someone to assist me, which took several more minutes, decided to assist me herself. Bottom line, after at least 45minutes of wait time, with no-one in line in front of me for store pick-up, i was finally being assisted. This actually only took Less than five minutes and i was on my way, finally! So in the future I believe I will just have the items sent to my home, or forget ordering online altogether. If I have to wait almost an hour to pick up an item that is already bought and paid for, then I may as well do my shopping inside the store. I placed and online order on the May 9, 2025. I placed a order from another store a little more higher ender than kohls. Shipping about the same same day. I received that item 2 days ago USPS. Kohls was so slow filling the order. Then they were so slow shipping the item. It stated USPS awaiting package for days. I want be placing anymore online Kohls orders. It states my expected delivery date is May 28. I didn't place a order from China. It shouldn't take this long. If I had knowing was going to take this long I wouldn't have placed the order. I seen a bracelet I wanted but after seeing this that bracelet can stay. I like shopping in the store. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of things I want in the store anymore. They're all online. I guess I will have to just find another store. I can't deal with this it terrible. Maybe it should state it takes this long as a warning for people like me. I would have appreciated...
