$50 for a USB-C to HDMI cable that was supposed to be able to screencast a fairly modern expensive top tier phone ( a Samsung S21 Ultra ) that worked once on a $1300 48" LG TV (with HDMI inputs) then after that output signal resulting in color-bars banded across screen or RGB (Red-Green-Blue) pixel-"snow" snowstorm.... and wouldn't work at all on (2) actual monitors. I finally got it to work in portrait mode only with an older backup phone (an LG V40). Not satisfied I went back to the store explained issue but the guy who sold the device said it was because the cable was modern with HDMI 2.1 & the devices were HDMI 1.4 or 1.0. He said that on his own without looking anything up, and I never told him HDMI specs cause I never thought about it at the time - I figured most cables are backward compatible, especially on name brand expensive model items, and I've never had anything else not work, before that cable. I told him it worked on the LG phone to the LG TV even though that TV was from 2010 and he said Yeah, because that phone is by the same manufacturer...blah-blah... Anyway, he refused a refund saying it had been over 10 days and also refused to exchange the cable for a different one, instead saying if I wanted a different one he would sell me one, but otherwise no deal. The item did appear to be fairly decent quality although brand was one I'm not familiar with, and since technically I did buy the cable without verifying the HDMI version of the expected device(s) I was to use the USB-C to HDMI cable with were compatible, I just left the store. I didn't like how, as a salesperson who suddenly had all this technical info when I was asking for a refund or exchange option but he didn't offer any of that info during the time I was buying the product. All he cared about was taking the money up front, then maybe he could double his profit again later by selling the correct cable as a replacement, to somebody in the same position I was in. That's shady business practice. I live a few blocks from that store, walk by it a lot during errands nearby, and now know why I never see anyone in it or more than 1 person browsing in it once in awhile. I really don't know how they stay in business, but I know how they lose customers, at least one I know-me. Oh, I found an alternative cable online that works beautifully for 40% less cost ($30 vs $50), works on all my devices, in both portrait & landscape modes, even auto-rotates all by itself if an app or operating system setting is set to auto-rotate. THAT'S how the thing is supposed to work. Found it on Amazon, a brand called Cable Creations. Pluggable is also a decent online cable brand supplier - I have a few of theirs too, but how I wound up at that neighborhood electronics store was I was looking for another option to Pluggable cables 'cuz a lot of their cables are not very flexible, they're kinda thick stiff, and the part that plugs into a port, like USB HDMI USB-C, has what is supposed to be a reinforced plug-in handle or "head" to it that turns out to be just thick wide enough that it clogs up space so you can't attach something to the next port beside it, if you know what I mean by that. So that's how I wound up at that store. Oh before I go, the USB-C to HDMI cable from Cable Creations also works with HDMI-to-USB webcam capture cards, those little ones that look like a thumb drive that plug in to a USB port, so ur PC "sees" an HDMI-input device like a camera or a CELLPHONE as a webcam and you can either directly stream it or pull it up into a full-fledged platform application like OBS ( the most popular one ), and it works like a dream, no lag, no weird signal, just buttery smooth and really nice - of course it helps that the phone is an expensive kickass phone with 12 GB of RAM and most lower-level phones only have at best 4,6,or maybe 8GB RAM. But you know what, that Cable Creation cable worked "almost" as smooth as on the Samsung S21 Ultra. Just a tiny shade of minor lag (called "latency"). . . .@ @ . .GOOD LUCK TO...

Do not attempt to buy anything from here. We tried to buy locally and support a local business and it backfired. Not only are they way more expensive than on-line, but we bought over $100 worth of cables that we ended up not needing. Tried to return them UNOPENED and UNTOUCHED - the guy at the store just pointed to a sign that said “No returns or exchanges” which they failed to mention or point out the first time. Do not go here. I went inside and asked if they had any phone case in stock for one of the older Google Pixels. They said that they didn't, tried to sell me a different one (which wouldn't work at all for it). I declined and they shouted that I was a waste of time....
