Absolutely thrilled with the meal we had here tonight. Like all Italian restaurants, we started with bread. The bread itself was quite nice, but the marinara sauce that came with it was tremendous and resisting the urge to "shoot" the remainder like a shot was difficult.
We also ordered Bruschetta which was the best either of us had ever had. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, salted to perfection, and the garlic tempered nicely as to not have too much bite. The basil was clearly very fresh.
My salad came out with fresh greens, sweet tomatoes, and a lovely dressing which seemed homemade.
For entreés, my wife got the Gnocchetti Sorrentina and I ordered the Salmone al Pomodorino. The Gnocchetti was delicate, with a perfect texture. The sauce was a lovely compliment and the portion generous. The Salmon had a terrific white wine sauce and perfectly roasted potatoes. Delicate asparagus and ripe tomatoes were cooked perfectly and added to the immaculate piece of fish. Cooked to a perfect medium, it still maintained a nice crust.
Moving into dessert, we got the lemon tart and I ordered a cappuccino. The tart was the perfect end to the meal; striking the right balance of tart and sweet with a very rich and complex crust. The cappuccino was better than many coffee shops I've visited.
Service wise, it was clear everyone in the place seemed to have a vested interest in the success of the business. Well dressed, polite, fluent in multiple languages, and operating as a well-oiled machine, they were lovely.
This was one of the most enjoyable meals I've had in years and the prices were absolutely reasonable for this level of...
Read moreNestled in the heart of Downtown Miami, Fratelli Milano stands out as a true culinary gem. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to a charming trattoria in Italy.
The menu is a delightful celebration of authentic Italian cuisine. Every dish, from the classic risottos and handmade pastas to the chef's specials, is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a clear passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried the risotto al funghi, and it was a heavenly experience: the rice was perfectly al dente, and the mushrooms had a depth of flavor that only comes from using fresh ingredients and expert cooking.
The service at Fratelli Milano is another highlight. The staff is attentive and professional, always ready to offer spot-on recommendations and ensure that every diner has a memorable experience. Their knowledge of Italian wines is impressive, and their pairing suggestions wonderfully complemented each dish.

Read moreThis restaurant was very upscale and in mid downtown maimi. Very nice location. Upon arrival me and my wife ( newly weds) walked inside the building only to be offered if we wanted to sit outside. No greeting no nothing. We offered to sit outside to enjoy the Miami vibe. Our waiter had long dark brunette hair ( mail ) was very odd but professional. We never got a refill on our drinks and never asked was everything okay with our dinner. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS .... after a couple of laughs and talking and dining we are ready for the bill. I had gift cards and attempted to use that to pay and they guy mentioned they didn’t take gifts card anymore ( which was fine ) so I gave him $100 bill for our dinner. As he returned back with our change I was preparing tip he watched me from the corner of the front door to make sure I was tipping decently. He then walks over to me and my wife tables and insults us by telling us “ this is the suggested tips we require, I know you say your traveling but this is how much you should tip” HOW OFFENSIVE COULD YOU HAVE BEEN. WE WAS UTTERLY DISGUSTED! HE SAID THAT TO NOBODY ELSE HE SERVED. might I say we was the only blacks there as well!
I TIPPED below the required tip because of how ugly, offensive and disrespectful that comment was. IA M FROM DALLAS TEXAS a huge city where we eat plentiful and have billions of restaurants more than Miami. We DEFINITELY know how to tip. But the fact that you vocalized that to us as if we was cheap people was very disgusting.
We will never be back at the prejudice...
