See's Candies — Local services in Midvale

Great chocolates, but beyond overpriced. As an occasional treat, it's fantastic. My last visit was so off putting that I won't be back for quite some time. There's always older people working, as I assume their business model goes. Usually, they're either friendly or just meh. Last time, the woman was flat-out rude. She didn't even try to hide her distain for the customers in the busy store. She was impatient, short, and audibly annoyed at any questions or requests. My favorite was the "What do you want?" She said it like she was talking to an ex she wanted nothing to do with....

These people were wonderful. I came in looking for one special candy bar and unfortunately they were out. One of the staff members took it upon herself to call different locations and she was able to track down a box of what I was looking for. That's great customer service. And I'm sure all the confections there are excellent. I however have a rare condition that does not let me ingest chocolate and other strange things like popsicle sticks but that's a different story. From walking in getting side eyes from the older woman behind the counter to them offering to help everyone who came in after me. They have no problem showing the fact that they have a issue with people of color. It breaks my heart to say and see this due to the fact that I've gone to See's Candy my entire life just to go through this experience to never want to spend another dollar with them again. You all...
