Build-A-Bear Workshop — Local services in Miramar Beach

Me and my boyfriend went here because I had a birthday coupon. I picked what I wanted to build and had to wait forever for a worker. Then she came over and was so unfriendly. I know I'm not a child but I was still a customer. After waiting for her to come over she started stuffing it and it was limp when she took it off and I told her to put more in it. She acted like it was killing her. She didn't pull the thread right so we had to wait for her to come back out. While we we're waiting my boyfriend stuck his hand in some stuffing that was sitting around. She saw and jumped all over us saying she could get in alot of trouble. The lid to the container was not on it. We didn't remove it. Any kid would stick their hand in something like that. After all of that we get in line and then a few people line up behind us and she still hasn't came to the register. She decides she wants to put the stuffing in the machine and by then about 6 people are wanting to check out. When she finally comes she is in a rush and I show her my coupon and says she used it. The absolute most horrid experience ever. I called beforehand to ask if they had birthday bears in stock as we go every year to get a birthday bear (we also buy several throughout the year). The manager told me that they couldn’t honor the bear discount because I wasn’t there with my son and his dad was the one (my husband) who was taking him to make the bear. I didn’t have a chance to call my husband to tell him since I was working and in the mean time he went in himself with my son to make the bear. They finally allowed for the birthday bear to be made but said he had to “add on” an outfit to the bear- completely untrue because I called their online customer service number. I later called to speak to the store manager as well as lorie and they were extremely rude and hung up on me twice, because I was explaining the frustration that they caused for a simple birthday bear to be made.

All in all, I filed a complaint with their customer service line and opened a case. I have never in my life been so dumb founded by the rudeness of a store employee. I will never be back and will not recommend this...

First time here and yes there was a wait line outside the door. There were only 3 families in front of us and we waited 30 mins outside to get in. Then I asked for the birthday bear since it's my kids birthday and the lady said they were out and have been out and didn't know when they would be in stock. So we picked out what we wanted then waited in another line to stuff the animals, which took another 30mins. The staff was nice. At checkout the cashier tore all the tags off the animals and clothing accessories. So make sure to inspect everything because when I got to the car I noticed a few small plastic tag pieces stuck inside hanging off of the clothes, accessories and the animals. These items are going to my toddler and baby which could have been a choking hazard. Definitely not safe and the people who work there should have at least warned the customers or left the tags on so the parents can be responsible and make sure to get all of the small plastics tag pieces off.
