Claire's — Local services in Miramar Beach

Today, June 1, 2025 at approximately 1:50 my daughter, my granddaughter & myself visited the Destin Commons Claire’s. Upon entering we were never acknowledged or spoken. However, as soon as a group of other people came that were not of the same ethnic group as we were, they were spoken to acknowledged and asked if they needed help. It was clear that the two young Caucasian females did not want to wait on us. I feel like they were racist, we are African-American, and the other groups of people were Caucasian. I personally feel that we were discriminated against and we brought it to their attention. They said they were sorry & sarcastically asked if we needed help. From reading other reviews this is not an isolated incident of racism. This is Claire’s location needs to deal with the blatant racism of their young employees. If you are wanting to get your little girls ear pierced, I highly recommend them! Amazing experience! Above my expectations! Sienna was extremely kind and helpful! She deserves a raise!!! She was so kind and helpful and put our nerves at ease. Simple, quick, so kind, and my daughter who normally has a low pain tolerance did not cry at all! It was a great surprise birthday night out for her 7th! She walked me through cleaning my daughters ears properly and took her time. She also made sure we knew about the special which saved us a lot of money. Right now if you get your ears pierced the precious metal earrings rack was $9 plus 20% off of that which normally they are around $20-25. We had a great time! I just wanted to take a moment to commend this location. We went to this location for a 12-year-old‘s birthday party as we were celebrating getting her ears pierced. It was a little impromptu, but they were so accommodating and four little girls ended up getting their ears pierced, and we had the best time! The staff was so kind, and the ladies that did that the ear piercing were very knowledgeable. It was such a great experience and we appreciate their kindness.
