Goodwill New Philadelphia — Local services in New Philadelphia

For those who say the prices are steep, some of the merchandise is new goods from target and it half the price of what target offers it for. Therefore the prices are good because they are not used products like others. Name brand items that are gently used you expect to get it for 3.00 your out of your mind...I’d be more then happy to pay more for a name brand gently used especially since the price is usually nowhere near the cost of it new. For instance PINK merchandise is 40+ in the store new you can get it at goodwill for 10.00 sometimes less, to me that’s a deal for something of that quality. If you don’t like it don’t buy it because others are more then willing to pay that. I always leave his store with good quality stuff. Very rarely do I leave empty handed. A lot of items in my house I use for decor are from here. My whole wardrobe is second hand from here, and no I don’t have a ton of money to spend I’m in college. Everyone needs to stop being so cheap and realize just because it’s goodwill doesn’t mean everything is going to be 3.00 and under jeans anymore are 20.00 a pair in the store or more so paying 6.00 to 8.00 is more then half off. Miss me jeans are 100.00 in store so 35.00 is a fair price. Personally again I love his store. Plato’s closet is more expensive then here. If you want good quality home decor, clothes, or products from Target come here. Don’t let the nausayers reviews...

Everything is so over priced now This place used to be the best goodwill in Ohio, literally.

The staff is rude, just bunch of kids working there.

They have broken toys in there for $10 each! Literally, go look. Toys that don’t work, or are literally broken in half.. they’re cheaper brand new at Walmart!

Their new Wired up program is a JOKE

Nothing works! Says it’s all tested by (DT) an employee, but it’s not, maybe by 16 year old kids who have no idea what they’re doing!

I bought a laptop there 2 days ago for $149, ended up finding out it was at Walmart for $99 brand new.. plus it didn’t work, was locked out by someone’s personal account! Lol. They didn’t even try to erase the data and reset it before selling it!

Took it back, with a receipt and all, they refused to give me my money back which they said they would when I bought it, gave me in store credit… what the hell am I going to buy there with $149?!?! 10 pairs of Used underwear? 😅

STRAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

They used to have DVDs for $1. Blu Rays for $2

Now they’re $4-6…Used. I’m Not joking lol.

Reviews correct - VERY Expensive.

We went here for first time despite so many negative reviews. It was the most expensive thrift store I have ever been in. The owner replied to those other negative feedback with a very polite response explaining that their high prices is because they are raising funds to support local people in need.

Unfortunately what the owners don't realize is that low income families can't afford to shop retail so they rely on thrift stores to get many of the things they need.

On the positive they have a lot of clothes and they had a Pink Tag $1 sale which was nice. However it was hard to find items with pink tags. We only found a few (maybe because we got there at 3? Or maybe there just wasn't many to begin with...who knows?).

We found 1 item to buy, but Goodwill only had ONE cash register open with a long line waiting. I just wasn't going to wait☹️. The store was quite busy for the sale, I would recommend to owner that they have at least 2 registers running on pink tag sale day.

I doubt I will...
