New York City subway station. Can a station ever get a five-star rating? I don't think so. It's a utilitarian place, any rating is suspect, there's some seating. They do have some wonderful tile murals in the station, both at the subway line where you've already paid your fare as well as outside. Because of the murals I'm giving it a four-star rating. Subway station was reasonably clean, there are no homeless there. The station also is separate on either side northbound southbound which is one side of the street to Brooklyn southbound. I'll call that is on the west side of the 6th avenue. Northbound to Queens is on the east side the entrance. You can't transfer from North to southbound at the station without getting out and paying...

Otherwise a downtown-only stop like any other. We had live music during our visit around 730pm on a Sunday evening. You might have the same luck. The drummer and boom box cover of "Eye of the Tiger" was worth going back for if you also need to catch a train that stops there (like the E, which appears on no signs) or have the time to wait for one that doesn't.
