I moved in 2022, it is now 2023. I am going to be quite honest, I do not understand the poor reviews on here, did they get a new management team? I think the management is amazing. I’ve had to have someone come fix my dishwasher and 10 minutes later someone was up here and fixed it within an hour. I also had to have someone help put up a shelf and again it only took 5-10 minutes and someone was here to put it up. (Without expecting anything in return). On top of that I’ve been locked out of my apartment a few times and was able to get in almost immediately just by asking the front desk. The package system work amazing, my packages are always there when they say they’re there and they really take their time to look for your packages to make sure they got them all. They even have dry cleaning available, I haven’t used it yet but I think that’s amazing. Obviously everyone has different experiences with different people, but I absolutely love everyone that works here they’re fantastic. Even going to the gym and being checked in, the people are very nice. Leaving the building? “Have a nice day!” Coming back in, they always hold the door for you and welcome you in. The garbage is so easy. You can leave it in the trash room or put in in the recycling and someone will always clean it up. Honestly the lobby, gym, basement look like a lux hotel. I had my family come visit and they were in love with how everything looked. I love my unit, I live in a one bedroom on the F line and there’s plenty of space. 4 closets ( F line) large closets too. Beautiful kitchen I love the lighting. On top of that, the views are BEAUTIFUL. I rented this building without coming in person to see it, ( I know that’s a risky move), but it was so worth it. I moved from Canada and needed a place to rent quick so I made the decision to just go for it. I’m very pleased. I’ve been here 6 months now and I’ve loved every moment of it. I work from home to, I am always here, I would say I have a good insight on it. In unit washer machine that work very well, there even large ones downstairs for larger blankets. Beautiful gym and lap pool. Bowling alley. Dog run (brand new! Almost completed, but they completely are redoing it). Roof top with some of the best 360 views in NYC. It looks similar to the ones you have to pay to get on top of! Ugh I don’t understand the poor reviews, I’m going to assume it’s from 2020 and or people are leaving poor reviews because they’re never lived here and have only seen what others have said. I haven’t had and bad experiences here. It’s all been fantastic. We’re all human. I definitely think that the management does their best and they do a pretty damn good job. If you considering living here, come see it. See the view. And understand it has so much to offer. The construction kind of sucks, but it’s not bad. I live 40 floors up and it doesn’t bother me too much, I’m not sure what it like lower down. But consider it based off of if you like the unit or not, not based on the reviews on here. That’s what I did and I am...
Read more#lovewhereyoulive That’s the hashtag I use when posting anything about 555. There is lots to love here...we have unmatched amenities: a covered outdoor dog run, the highest outdoor rooftop pool in Manhattan, a bowling alley and an arcade to name a few. How about the view...my windows look out to the Empire State Building...and from the roof deck you can see Lady Liberty, One World, The Times Square Ball to name a few. The Staff and Management are amazing...we’ve even got a Lifestyle Coordinator that puts together building social events about every three weeks...all catered with great food and drink, some even for dogs and All free for residents. I can’t say enough about how amazing living here is...I have been here since the building opened and have no plans to leave anytime soon.
....and for true transparency let me also speak to those reviews about management...this is a half billion dollar building with a plethora of amenities that, in the beginning struggled with an overworked and understaffed management team trying to run a building with unique amenities that was still very much under construction at the same time tenants were moving in....there were some bumps along the way to getting where we are today. The same management team is now fully staffed and running the building nearly the best it could be run. They are available, friendly, as transparent as they can be and proactive with building communication. No new building starts off running perfectly...but we are just about there now. Check out my Instagram @ryinnycity to see...and remember, haters are always gonna hate and entitled folks are never gonna be satisfied or offer the constructive criticism that makes a real review valuable...even having their friends write negative reviews because their own review and opinion does not carry the weight of their presumed entitlement. Check out the life I lead here at 555 on my Instagram above, my dog is even on the side of the building in an ad because we were in the dog park when they were taking marketing pics...and nope, we were not and never have been paid...I love that she’s a local celeb of sorts and well it’s just good apartment karma to share her loving where she lives too. Happy Hunting if you are looking for a place...and maybe even see you at a future...
Read morePlease avoid here. I had lived here for one year (2019-2020) and moved out immediately after the lease ended. As other people mentioned, general staffs like the doormen were great, but the valet and the management team were ridiculous. I had lost packages twice and one of them was over $1000. They outsourced the package room to a third company and their service was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. After I lost the package of a new laptop, they didn't take any action or apologize to me. Clearly the staffs there lied to me since one staff said the package had already been picked up and the other staff told me they had never received the package. I requested many times to contact their boss and check their camera etc; I also emailed to 555Ten’s management team for many times, but no one investigated this issue for me. I eventually had to call the police as my last step as no one in this building did their work. Also, the valet was only available during daytime and even a shorter time over weekends. You would be asked to pick up your packages ASAP, otherwise they would give you a call and threaten you that if you couldn't come back to get the packages right away, they would send back all your packages by the end of the day. Isn't this ridiculous? We are not talking about holding the packages at valet for over one month many times here. It was only holding at the valet for one week two times across the entire year and then I got such a suddenly rude call. Did they ever consider the tenants who were not at home during daytime in weekdays? Or what about the tenants who were...
